Sounds good. Do you know what channels are showing the Olympics and the Euros? Someone on here said they were being touted to a Sky type channel?

Olympics and Euros will 100% be on terrestrial tv.

I thought that but I'd read something on here and also someone in the work had mentioned something? Probably won't be long til we are charged to watch Kenyans pole vault!

FIFA got taken to court for trying to sell the rights to the highest bidder (which in the UK would be Sky or BT or course). They lost the court case so the major tournaments still have to be on terrestrial TV and available to all. Yet another thing which shows what greedy scumbags FIFA are.

I've just enquired about cancelling Sky Sports - my package would go down to around £43 a month for the basic Sky TV pack plus unlimited fibre optic broadband. Result. Definitely calling them to cancel at the end of April. At least their extremely poor recent boxing coverage will save me a fair few quid

I use Kodi. Just found a build on Arse Wizard called Cellar Door TV which is great, much better than Beast etc.. Try it and let me know.

There is also a subscription based app called Ruya which give you whole UK & Eire Sky + Sport, plus all world sports channels in HD. USA, East Euro, Aus, NZ etc.. You'd never miss a fight again, and get to watch from a US commentary perspective which I prefer.

Ruya 2.0 it is. £25pm, or less the more months you take.

I've not had sky or bo nation for well over two years and I still manage to see all the fights I want. I'd advise anyone paying for sky in anyway to stop and look at the other options available. They don't have planners etc but at least you don't not have to pay the price of a bloody car or holiday home to watch telly

What is it you use? A mate of mine had some box fitted that goes through his dish. Gets everything. All the PPVs, normal Sky, BN and all the 3pms in the football. Good investment in the long run.

Other folk have answered this better than I could, I just got a box off my pal and it has apps on it headed 'sport' and 'movies' etc. He set it up for me as I'm not great with IT stuff and I only have an iPad.

Every week without fail when discussing fights we desperately want to see get made we are told with authority that said fight will be the perennial 'stadium blockbuster for summer 20[XX].' These stadium summer blockbusters never seem to materialise and yet they are brought up all the time as if they are an annual occurrence.

Just heard today that SKY are reportedly launching a new channel called SKY Sports Mix in June. See the below link for the thread about this from last year:

Looks like they're pushing ahead with this. If they are it looks like some free sport, including boxing, depending on what package you have with them. Please note nothing official has been confirmed by SKY yet so we'll just have to sit tight and see what happens over the next 10 weeks.

It's great new for SKY subscribers that maybe can't afford SKY Sports. More free sport on TV and even more reason to cancel SKY Sports during the summer months.

If like me you have SKY Sports, and somehow always manage to get suckered into buying the PPV's on SKY Sports Box Office, you'll know it's an expensive game. There's nothing worse than seeing £16.95 extra on your next bill and feeling dirty, like you really let yourself down. Here's some friendly advice, in the style of Martin Lewis, on how to claw some of that money back and give SKY a low blow that shows them your in charge of your wallet

Now the following won't appeal to everyone and depends on what sports you follow on SKY Sports. For me personally it's boxing, football and a bit of tennis. Those on the site who are froogle, or read through their T&C's, will probably already be fully aware of where they stand by cancelling SKY Sports for a short period. For those who are not already aware you can cancel your subscription to SKY Sports by giving SKY 30 days notice. This doesn't matter if your in or out of a 12 month contract period. Cancelling SKY Sports or adding SKY Sports to your subscription won't effect your current position in anyway and won't result in a new contract term.

This year the English Premiership finishes on the 15th May and doesn't return until the 13th August. That's almost 3 months with no Premiership football. The Football League however continues of for another 2 weeks with all the various play-offs screened on SKY Sports. If your football daft, and watch other sports on the side, why pay for SKY Sports for nearly 3 months when your hardly going to be watching it or possibly away for a couple of weeks for your summer holidays? With a SKY Sports subscription costing roughly £25.00 per month, just over £30.00 per month if your watching in HD, you can save yourself nearly £90.00! The biggest and best sporting action in the summer tends to be on free to air tv anyway:

BT Sport will show the UEFA Champions League final and the UEFA Europa League final free-to-air.

Absolutely anyone can watch the two showpiece games on Freeview channel 59, on BT.com, on BTSport.com or via the BT Sport YouTube channel (youtube.com/btsportofficial).

As posted previously, SKY Sportys Mix launches on SKY and Virgin Media on the 24th August. Here is the schedule for the first 3 days of sport that will broadcast line on the new channel:

Virgin are great, had them for years, especially if you opt for the TiVo box. I've managed to get them to knock quite a bit off of my bill in the past by speaking to customer services, as I'm now in a rolling contract, and no longer tied in to anything. The broadband speeds are also excellent, with very few outages.

That's what every company does! It's a running joke with my mates that i'll complain about service and things that go wrong as they're happy to just sit back and accept it. That is until i tell them about how much money i save on things like energy, tv/broadband, banks etc.

A recent example is my bank messed up sending me my new debit card. I'd contacted them 3 times to say that i was in my final month and still hadn't received it which they basically ignored and said it was part of the process. Never arrived for a bank holiday weekend so in essence, i was without access to money as i had no debit card (obviously i prepared for this). Formalised the complaint listing my points highlighting and got £100 from the bank. It could have been prevented by the bank and could have caused me a lot of problems

True I reckon I should have hung on a bit longer, I got that £52 deal 5 days into my 30 day notice period, if I'd hung on I reckon they would have knocked even more off

I use plex it's an iptv app. Have a provider that gives all sly channels, bt sport, bnation, bein sports, all the American sports channels etc Oh and ppv events too. It's really simple to use and doesn't need a satellite dish just broadband. My box and 12 month sub was £50. Hasn't let me down yet. Plus you can take the box anywhere which is handy for work
