It's a damn shame that NOBODY talks about the great Salvador Sanchez win over the great Wilfredo Gomez. This performance by itself is one of boxing history all-time best. No featherweight in history in my view beats Sal that night. It was a performance of the ages!

Great pick. Gomez was on quite a KO streak. My brother saw Sanchez-Nelson in MSG and said it was awesome.

You're right that the fight deserves praise
But can't agree that nobody mentions it.
I've read about it numerous times on here and watched it over a year ago, as a direct result of someone recommending it, as the perfect way to see Sanchez at his peak.

It sure does laughing boy... Who else ever beat an Undefeated World Heavyweight Champion who also happened to be a 6'5" X 245 Southpaw -- by boxing his ass off... not getting hit with a single good shot ... and getting rid of him in 2 rounds, without even trying??? ... Superb performance.
