2016 Olympic medal hopes
2016 Olympic medal hopes
I know some of the main names but do not follow the amateur ranks as much as the pros. Who are the guys to look out for at this years games to medal? And which of these are most likely to turn over as successful professionals? I like the look of GB's Cordina and McCormack and am hearing big things about Shakur Stevenson.

Cuba are the ones to beat.
Morocco have a French middleweight who looks awesome.
Superheavy should be fun. France and Uk both have good fighters.
Fighter of the tournament for me is Savon from Cuba. Poetry in motion. Been robbed at loads of major events hopefully finds redemption in Rio.

Carmine Tommasone from Italy has made boxing history by becaming the first fully professional fighter to compete in the Olympics, and he won his opening bout too.
One of only three outright pros to have qualified, he won all three rounds on Saturday against 21-year-old Lindolfo Delgado.

If there's a bigger joke than the Olympic boxing scoring system and judging I don't know what it is.

Probably the broadcasting of it. Not that I care, but I couldn't find a fight if I wanted too.diddy wrote:If there's a bigger joke than the Olympic boxing scoring system and judging I don't know what it is.

Awesome, back when there was one channel here every fight was on. Now, Boxing is less than a monopoly competition.ttornado wrote:The BBC do a great job, every fight live streamedSaadOffTheDeck wrote:Probably the broadcasting of it.
