No idea, hopefully more than what he did between T.Fury and Pulev. Someone mentioned a rematch with Helenius I think, but Helenius he didn't want it before.Horse wrote:What's he going to do instead?BitPlayer wrote:Chisora has said he isn't interested in fighting for a British title.

Chisora isn't in the worst position, he does have other options.BitPlayer wrote:No idea, hopefully more than what he did between T.Fury and Pulev. Someone mentioned a rematch with Helenius I think, but Helenius he didn't want it before.
The winner of Chisora vs Whyte would have to be high up the list for a Joshua fight though, so it seems like a pretty good opportunity that he's turning down.
It's not as if Whyte looks like a world beater or anything.

Re: Sam Sexton calls out Dillian Whyte - 'Grow some balls'
Grow some balls? Is he joking?
When is the last time Sam has boxed against someone with a winning record? 2014? Against a guy who lost 15 matches and won one since that fight?
What a joke.

Re: Sam Sexton calls out Dillian Whyte - 'Grow some balls'
Sexton coming across really desperate for a payday but Whyte beats him easily.

Is that what he really said?asdfjkl wrote:Grow some balls? Is he joking?

He's saying that to a guy who fought Joshua two fights ago....?

He's still done far more than Sexton has in the last 4 years. - Still declined by the boardRob3_142 wrote:Allen - declined by the board for lack of experience
Yet still far more credible than Sexton. - I'm not sure how true that is. He's been knocked out in his last 5 fights. Yes, you could argue against some decent opposition, but it might be worth getting a win under his belt to show he has anything more to offer.Rob3_142 wrote:Sprott - basically dead
If Price or Chisora are interested then they should get a straight shot at it. Neither need an eliminator. - Agreed, but has there been any evidence to suggest either are interested.Rob3_142 wrote:So from the list of British heavies, we have Chisora, Whyte, Price, Cornish and Sexton (without going lower in the rankings). I'm not sure if Chisora or Price are all that interested (if either are, then they should get it on). Despite Cornish's record, I think he'd still be a logical choice. I do agree that there should/could be a domestic eliminator, but I don't know how realistic it would be. I don't think Price would fight Chisora or Whyte in an eliminator. I'd be pretty satisfied if Sexton and Cornish fought in an eliminator, the winner fighting Whyte for the British title.
That's a poor analogy. - I knew you'd have a whinge at that.Rob3_142 wrote:I don't agree that the British title should be left to 'gather dust' while we wait for a worthwhile fight. Would you tell Bradford that they couldn't participate in the league cup final because they're not very good? It should contest the two best fighters who are willing to participate. If that is Whyte and Sexton. So be it.
Sexton can either prove himself or bugger off. He should not be given a straight shot. - He should if nobody else shows any interest.

He didn't actually say grow some balls, but he did say quite a bunch of stuff in that line.Rob3_142 wrote:Is that what he really said?asdfjkl wrote:Grow some balls? Is he joking?

I sort of agree with him too- Sexton is a crap challenger, but your list shows - the best available British-title match is 5th vs 11th.Rob3_142 wrote:Well to a certain degree I agree with Horse on this one (didn't think I'd ever say that). The best thing to do is be objective about who our options are;
T.Fury - ineligible
Joshua - ineligible
Chisora - ???
Haye - not remotely interested
Whyte - No1 contender
Price - ???
H.Fury - declined offer
Cornish - ???
Allen - declined by the board for lack of experience
Sprott - basically dead
Sexton - ???

I'm okay with that.
Won't be the worst fight either
