I live in Dallas, and have known about Spence a long time. He is not at all worried about Keith Thurman. I'm as confident in Spence Jr. as I am with Ward. He is 100% the real deal I've seen it. You don't get incredible praise from Mayweather for nothing, guy is hungry and patient he will be a force.
Yeah but he's not on social media these days mentioning Thurman what happened? The Mayweather praise means nothing if Thurman sparred Floyd
in prep for a Floyd would tout Thurman as well! I do believe Errol is for real his only set back is his IQ, it's not on par with Thurman's these guys are
the same age but Thurman has the wisdom of a 50yr old man that's had failed marriages, been homeless a few times, etc.. Thurman's mind is
right up there with Andre Ward. Not so much the talent I'm after the MIND. Ward and Thurman are the smartest dudes in all of boxing today!
Hey guys let's bump this thread the next time Spence wins, and bnovelist is praising him as the best thing since sliced bread...hell I think he already did, but it's been a few months so he forgot.

So far? Nothing!
When Thurman was still kind of green a year ago Errol had no problem bring up Keith Thurman you all remember I'm sure
Errol Spence will be the kingpin of 147 come 2-3 yrs from now. He'll be "the guy". Kell Brook will be a 154 lb fighter in the near future, thinning the division a tad.
Terence Crawford will have something to say about it tho as he will eventually be a welter. I dont think Thurman will beat Spence.
Just because Spence didnt call out Thurman doesnt mean he wont fight him.
Spence is still a fight or two away from challenging for a world title and Thurman may well beat Spence if they fought NOW but time is clearly on Errol's side. After he gets a world title belt it would be a good unification match in a year or so.
Maybe Thurman is smarter than we think. He turned down a chance to fight immediately for one of Floyd's belts against an inexperienced Spence.....then turned around and fought the mighty Collazo, who had his ass handed to him by the even mightier Amir Khan. Collazo has a lower KO ratio than Khan, but almost took Thurman out with a body shot. Wait until Spence digs into his midsection.
Spence is very grounded, you won't ever see him calling out people on social media 5 days before a fight. He doesn't run his mouth at all. Line them up.

Mayweather once said that Chad Dawson was the best fighter in the world next to himself so his praise means little.

You could make the argument that he was. Certainly top 5 for a few years.

I was never much of a fan tbh.
I was, LOL. He had a real good run though. Adamek, Johnson x2, Tarver x2, Hopkins. Only the first Johnson fight was close. Definitely fell off a cliff after Ward.

Impressive CV man. You can't take that away from him. I was wanting him to wallop that odious twat Stevenson but no dice!

It means an incredible amount more than yours or mine does, cheers

Floyd Mayweather told Chad Dawson in 2008 that he was one of the very best fighters in the world.
“Bad Chad” eventually became a top ten pound-for-pounder after his victory over Bernard Hopkins in 2012.
Not many people can accurately predict a prospect gaining the prestigious moniker of being regarded as a pound-for-pounder almost four years before it became the commonly-held perception.

As I said before I wasn't a fan. He had a good run but I never thought he was anything 'special'. Granted I never followed his career like some on here may have done but whenever I watched him I was always bored to distraction.

Not really. From what I can tell Mayweather only really pays attention to his own career whereas knowledgeable fans follow the entire sport.
You'd be wrong sir.. It's far more likely he knows who is the goods and who isn't, seeing as how he has pretty much been the face of boxing for a decade or longer and is previewed to far more than any knowledgeable fan.
