I think the powers that be in the USA will be trying to find a way to ensure a Ward win. They don't like the idea of a Russian beating an American, even though Kovalev is an American citizen now. A win by Kovalev doesn't fit their agenda.

So the deck will be stacked to ensure a Ward win. The ref will be on Ward's side for sure, letting him use illegal tactics and being in Kovalev's face for throwing legal punches, and the American judges will be there for him if he needs them.

Max Kellerman and the other HBO commentators will be on Ward's side as well, scoring all the rounds for Ward, to sell the idea that he's winning the rounds that Kovalev doesn't completely dominate, so there will be less controversy after a robbery in favor of Ward.

I see how it is. Don't start with the bullshit excuses already. All Kovalev has to do is take it out of the ref's and judges hands and KO Ward. Bet your house. The American favoritism excuse is really lame, by the way.

Yes, it really is horseshit.

As if the result of a boxing match is of national importance, laughable, this isn't a Rocky movie. FFS!

Kova will KO Ward. Ward's only chance is headbutts cutting and hurting Kovalev.

No, that isn't his only chance. Kovalev was made to look pretty ordinary by Salem the other night, Ward is a lot better than Salem. If Kovalev is below par, he will lose. Ward is extremely talented. Don't allow your hatred of him to blind you to reality.

Ward looked mediocre in his last fight. Will you compare Brand to Kovalev? They are 3 leagues apart. And I suspect that Ward would look worse than Kovalev against Chilemba.

Of course I'm not preparing Brand to Kovalev, don't be stupid.

Both Kovalev and Ward will most likely raise their game for one another, I expect Kovalev to be surprisingly cautious, despite the fact you've got it in your head that Ward has zero chance, I doubt Kovalev won't see it that way, and he won't want to give away rounds getting caught advancing on Ward.

The idea that either man is going to embarrass the other seems pretty foolish to me. I guess we will find out soon enough. I've been wrong before now.

I also expect Kovalev to try to box like he did against Hopkins, and even if Ward lands more jabs, Kovalev's jabs will be more effective. I also expect Kovalev to be prepared to handle Ward's clinching attempts. As I said, I think Ward's only real chance to win is to cut Kova. I will add poking him in an eye as another possibility. In a legal fight, Ward has zero chances.

We'll see, I just hope that if Ward wins, people give him credit, rather than banging on about Kovalev being robbed, the ref not doing his job.

I admit that Ward can be dirty, but that's not all he does. He's a fantastic boxer too. He made Froch look a complete mug, nobody else ever managed that.

If Ward wins a relatively clean fight, I will take my hat off and declare him p4p #1. I strongly doubt that will happen though.

Ward isn't even at the presser today and it is now an hour late. Until they're in the ring and the bell sounds, I don't believe in this fight happening.

I'd be amazed if the fight didn't end in a Ward points win.

I see Ward dragging him to a fight on the inside were he is far superior.

Really cracking fight on paper but I expect Ward to hit, fall in and clinch his way to victory.

I'm a fan of SOG. It will be an incredible story if he defeats Kovalev. To me that is a greater feat if he wins against Kovalev than if SOG was to face GGG and defeat him. GGG is naturally smaller than Ward. Kovalev is bigger than GGG and he have a better resume of opponents in my honest opinion. Middleweight division is not up there in caliber compared to Light Heavyweight.

It is amazing how Russian and Ukrainian boxers support each other when their corrupt governments and media are pouring shit on each other.

Good example for everybody !

I think media and bookies persuaded Ward that he can beat Kovalev, so his knee should not swell this time
