Who's Best In Britain?
Who's Best In Britain?
Feel free to add any others that I may have missed
At heavyweight - Fury or Joshua?
At Supermiddle - Degale, Groves or Smith?
At Middle - Eubank or Saunders?
At Lightmiddle - Smith or Williams?
At Lightwelter - Catterall or Davies Jnr?
At Lightweight - Flanagan or Crolla?
At Superfeather - Smith (again) or Walsh?
At Feather - Frampton or Selby?
At Superbantam - Quigg or Galahad or Yafai?
At Superfly - Yafai or Conlan?
In my humble opinion these are all fighters without anyone being dominant over the other. I can offer my opinion but until they meet (Eubank Saunders aside) we have no idea.

I'd lean towards Fury but he hasn't been in with a big punching, youthful, determined heavyweight yet so I'll be neutral.
Probably Smith. Degale the best boxer but he drifts in & out of fights. Groves I love but his chin is not brilliant.
I would go with Eubank these days as Saunders seems to be f*cking about.
Smith or Williams? No f*cking clue.
Lightwelter - I'd love your input
I can't choose between Flanagan or Crolla.
I'd pick Walsh over Smith but it's not a strong pick.
I'd have Selby beating Frampton in a boring fight. Carl best against fighters coming at him.
Yafai.
And Yafai

DeGale is the man at 168 just now.
I'd go for Eubank over Saunders if they were to fight again. Close though.
Smith v Williams would be a very good contest. Right now I'd favour Smith.
Catterall or Nurse at 140. Nurse is a tough nights work for any domestic guy. Josh Taylor will be taking over soon though
Flanagan over Crolla I reckon but not with any confidence.
Walsh beats Smith handily IMO. Very underrated.
Frampton all day at 126.
I think Quigg beats Galahad at SBW but Yafai could be a dark horse there. Still I'll go with Quigg.
Yafai beats Conlon in a decent little scrap.
Re: Who's Best In Britain?
Atleast he got a solid win over Andy Lee, Eubank has been facing part timers and domestic opponents, rather than showing any improvement in opposition, if anything his opposition has been regressing.Taansend wrote:I would go with Eubank these days as Saunders seems to be f*cking about.

Fury, I wouldn't even have Joshua at the #2 spot to be honest. Haye would clean his clock.

Re: Who's Best In Britain?
Fury but find them tricky to split, Joshua looks a million dollars disposing of B level fighters whilst Fury has beaten the better opposition but can be accused of looking ungainly at times and isn't much of a banger.Taansend wrote:Feel free to add any others that I may have missed

Have a feeling Callum can dominate the Super middle division, certainly think he gives both of them hard fights, wonder how Groves would handle that power?
Think Saunders would pip Eubank again, Eubank doesn't seem to have learnt from the mistakes that cost him the first fight, still telegraphs, attacks in straight lines, lacks a jab etc
Smith for now but Williams looks a class talent
Cant split Catterall and Davies junior right now in all honesty, maybe we'll have more idea when we see them in against Nurse, Jenkins, Daws level fighters
Crolla for me, Flanagan has looked relatively average Magdaleno fight aside whilst Crolla seems to have found a new level to his game
Smith just about for me, just looks to have a bit more too him and has boxed at the slightly higher level
Despite his flashy style Selby eats a bit to much leather for me, can see him getting outfought on the inside
Got to be Quigg, sparring stories aside he's much more experienced than Galahad and looks by far the bigger stronger kid, Yafai is still something of a prospect
Yafai easy work, Conlans a brave kid but Yafai is just a class above for me
Re: Who's Best In Britain?
HW Fury.
Even though I didn't think he'd beat Wlad and thought his resume was unimpressive before, Cunningham, Chisora x2, a much more useful Kevin Johnson and Hammer is still better than all of Joshua's wins.
SMW Degale.
In hindsight, he probably should have got the nod over Groves. His resume is much better. He looks bad sometimes, but so did Calzaghe, so did Froch, so did Eubank, so did Benn. I think he will come out on top as the best SMW, but he might catch abother loss and he will earn his stripes.
At Middle - Eubank or Saunders?
I hate Saunders but he's still more proven. I would love to see Eubank (who I still quite like) beat him up in the rematch. But for now the horrible ducking little gobshite has me listening when he says he is the best.
At Lightmiddle - Smith or Williams?
Couldn't give a shit, mate.
At Lightwelter - Catterall or Davies
No idea. This is a terrible division for us, isn't it? Never even watched either of them fight.
At Lightweight - Crolla
At Superfeather - dunno
At Feather - Frampton, based on his recent performances. Selby looked a bit fragile last time I saw him and Frampton seems to have a decent dig.
At Superbantam - I don't really watch the division and I know I'll get hate for it but Galahad looked mustard prior to his ban, so I'll go with him.

Re: Who's Best In Britain?
Liam Walsh is the best superfeather & potentially best lightweight. He KO's Stephen Smith if it could be made and I think he'd continue his progres at LW.
