David Lemieux vs Curtis Stevens
David Lemieux vs Curtis Stevens
Reports from Canada state that David Lemieux (35-3, 32 KOs) will face Curtis Stevens (28-5, 21 KOs) in Montreal in October.
Lemiex is coming off a 4 round demolition of Glen Tapia while Stevens' last fight was a 2nd round knockout of previously undefeated Patrick Teixeira.
2 big punching middleweights, good fight imo.

This is an excellent match-up.

Cracking match up
If Stevens is fully prepared and on song then he's a nightmare! Both guys carry a dig and both make mistakes/take chances. Should make for an exciting fight.

Awesome fight!

Great matchup. They don't always have to be superfights to be good. This should be a very good action fight.

Lemieux has far to much for Stevens, Stevens has a bit of a dig but not much else. I see a brutal beat down coming for Stevens.

Re: David Lemieux vs Curtis Stevens
If I have to wait until October I think that would be the biggest waste of time currently going! But as later mentioned I think this is happening in March so good fight, I fully expect Lemieux to get the ko by the 8th round, otherwise it can be seen as the demise of Lemieux, and neither fighter going anywhere in a hurry!ElJefe wrote:Reports from Canada state that David Lemieux (35-3, 32 KOs) will face Curtis Stevens (28-5, 21 KOs) in Montreal in October.

Yeah was originally touted for October of last year mate but didn't get made, so they're doing it this March instead. I think it's a good fight, they're both obviously a level below the best (GGG), but they can both bang and they'll both come to fight. In the know 85 wrote:If I have to wait until October I think that would be the biggest waste of time currently going! Yeah I think it'll be good while it lasts, but would love to see Lemieux in with golovkin again, I think the result might be very different 2nd time round with Lemieux having the knowledge and less fear this time!ElJefe wrote:Yeah was originally touted for October of last year mate but didn't get made, so they're doing it this March instead.
