That's a very interesting quote from Marciano, where did you find it? I tried searching for it, but i came up with nothing.
I wouldn't take any notice, he frequently makes up quotes, thats most likely another one.

Sometimes a boxer lands a perfect punch and scores a spectacular KO such as Martinez, Nunn, and Robinson did in career highlight KO's that put an opponent out who's never been stopped before. Consistency is more important.
A middleweight best puncher list without Julian "The Hawk" Jackson is like saying the great Joe Louis or Big George ain't great top ten heavys
Probably... With Top-12 he's on the list... But I don't see him getting Benny Briscoe or Daniel Jacobs out like Valdez and Pirog did... There's been a lot of terrific punching middleweights or he would be up there on my list... The way he iced Norris and Graham -- he had a real good KO stroke.
I haven't seen nothing like Jackson when we're talking about great middleweight punchers. It was like if he wasn't human.

Jackson DID prove human when Mike McCallum punched him out in 2 rounds... JJ nailed McCallum real good too... then a cyclone crushed him.

Jackson was an awesome puncher though... Terry Norris had his left hand high, but Norris instinctively knew Terry was going to drop it -- so he threw straight at his Norris's glove and froze with a right.. Norris never saw the punch.. Too bad he didn't drop right there.. Norris was out cold on his feet, so Jackson hit him TWICE MORE right on the jaw. Whoa baby, those follow up shots wrecked Norris like a sitting duck..

Even though Norris boxed the daylights out of Sugar Ray Leonard 3 fights later - I think that thundering sequence of punches from Jackson destroyed Norris's chin, forever after... Ray Leonard saw that fight ... and Norris went right on his list of possible opponents.

Here is Julian Jackson lining up Terry Norris... Norris raises his left high -- then drops it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCHyVyFgX-8

Talk about not seeing a KO punch coming. HIs legs didn't get the message until he was smashed twice more.

Some of those other guys weren't brilliant boxers... but they could all throw bombs that could put people out... Jackson was no boxer either.

Like I have said. A list of ten greatest middleweight punchers is not complete without Julian Jackson. He was a DEVASTATING PUNCHER! He is top 3 in my view at 154 or 160 when it comes to raw punching power. I saw his KOs on YouTube and is like you can't believe what you are looking at.

Pirog put Daniel Jacobs out with a short right for Jacobs' only loss.. That was a good shot.. McCallum put top Middle Michael Watson out... put Julian Jackson out.. punched Don Curry out with one shot. But I may have him ranked a little high as a Middleweight puncher. Maybe Jacobs should be in there instead. There's not really that many lights out punchers.

'top middle' Michael Watson, mate, I'm British and i liked the guy but he never won a fight at world level, no way he was a top middleweight

as for McCallum bombing him out? he hit him about 500 times before he went, in round eleven, having used him for target practise for 11 rds.

Curry? Jackson? I asked which top MIDDLEWEIGHTS McCallum bombed out. which is why you're struggling and reaching for crappy examples, cos there aren't any.

if those are your examples, you suck. again/still.

Don't feed the troll. Either he is actually stupid enough to believe some of this, in which case don't bother with him, or he's trolling, in which case don't bother with him. Anyone who thinks Toney or McCallum hit harder with one shot than Jackson is not worth your time. McCallum was absolutely the better fighter, but the harder puncher? Ask Herol Graham.

I'm shocked at how little have voted for Robinson, never mind that insane list Kalan put up. Lemieux

I didn't rank McCallum anywhere close to the top. Stretching Curry like he did at the time was impressive to a lot of people. So was blowing away Jackson who was 29-0. Sucking is your specialty. You mastered the technique long ago but I wouldn't be interested.

and these two fights- at 154lbs- factor into a dicsussion of the biggest-punching MIDDLEWEIGHTS how, exactly?

you ranked McCallum as one of them, yet were unable to provide a single example backing up this ranking

once again silly kalan's mouth writes a cheque that his brain can't cash

Because McCallum was also a Jr Middleweight when he knocked them out -- and Jackson was big enough to become a Middleweight Champion and blow away Harol Graham...but he couldn't trade with McCallum for long without getting pasted out.

You've got it wrong again, what you mean to say is 'i was wrong to have McCallum in a list of hardest punching middleweights'

Glad to be of assistance
