Jirov challenges Froch. That falls short, open to offers.
Super Six is a tough field this year. No easy fights at all.

I believe your man Jirov has already accepted his place in the Silver 6 Tournament.armageto wrote:Jirov challenges Froch. That falls short, open to offers.

Froch would like to fight either Orlin Norris (for the first time) or Steve Collins (in a rubber match)...the open is offer to a rematch with Johnny Nelson as well, but we might have to wait and see how things shake down with the last position in the Silver 6 as it's possible Johnny Nelson winds up in that.
Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
Froch would also be interested in having a rematch with Nigel Benn or Dwight Muhammad Qawi
Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
Good luck to everyone competing in the Super & Silver Six!

Does the Silver Six start this week as well?

Correct, the reason for the minor delay is BoxBuzz, deciding whether to enter or not.gilgamesh wrote:Yesarmageto wrote:Does the Silver Six start this week as well?

Agreed, it's gonna be immense. Every bout looks a cracker on paper.armageto wrote:Super Six is a tough field this year. No easy fights at all.
I sometimes wish that we has brought The Super Six in sooner. In two seasons in particular:
Light Heavyweight was my 1st ever season & it had loads of brilliant fighters - the unforgettable Tiger Jack Fox (managed by Sav), Buzz did well with Maxie Rosenbloom, Bob Foster & Jack Dillon as well.
It would've been incredible to have seen all those guys face off at the end of that season.
Secondly, our last Middleweight season ended abruptly last time (only 20 weeks or so) - i'd love to see us giving that division a fair crack at the whip... The amount of talent at that weight class is VERY deep.
Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
I like the dual weight seasons. It gives whoever has a later pick in the round a top pick in the next round. Everybody is going to get one top tier guy if you draft effectively. The dual weight classes bring up a lot of interesting matchups as well once they are combined mid-season. Hopefully a couple of extra managers join next year, though I think the group we have now is pretty solid.Crease wrote:Agreed, it's gonna be immense. I personally hope this is our last Crossweight season. I wasn't crazy about the format. It was alright, but I'd much rather stick to more interesting weight classes.armageto wrote:I like the dual weight seasons. Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
I guess we'll take a vote on it. I thought the best part was everyone having a shot to grab a top tier guy. Better managed fighters and a better cpu pool as well.gilgamesh wrote:I personally hope this is our last Crossweight season. I wasn't crazy about the format. Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
I didn't really have an opportunity to grab a top tier guy, but I guided Carl Froch to great things and a Championship anyway because I'm a great manager. I wouldn't consider Froch a great fighter or at least he might not have been if not for my great management.armageto wrote:I guess we'll take a vote on it. It's no surprise though they always give me a sh*tty draft pick spot to keep me from being so great
Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
I think Froch was a top 5 guy i the second round? I know Calzaghe and Jones went off the board right away, but that left other top guys on the board. Think of it this way, if we just did a CW season, you'd be stuck with Huck and even a lower CW for your second pick.gilgamesh wrote:

We could adjust next season, perhaps let both weight classes go at it right from the start. I think the dual weight classes do offer up better managed fighters. Everybody should have a chance for at least one upper fighter. More interesting matchups can be made as well.
Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
Ya know what else Froch is? He's a fighter that's had offers out to 5 fighters for the last 3 or 4 days and has had no takers. People know Froch is upset about not being included in the Super 6 Tournament and aims to do some damage for his remaining weeks of Sim action.

Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
Nigel Benn will fight Froch next week, this week I need him to avenge his loss to Marvin Camel. ever since Camel was able to cut Benn for a fluke TKO it seems everyone else started to cut him up also. Benn needs to put the Camel down.
Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
I'm excited for Jones jr. Vs. Leonard
They had a draw, a cut stoppage for jones, and a split decision for jones. Knockdowns are 4-3 for Leonard in the series. This one could go either way

Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
Froch still has a challenge out to Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Orlin Norris, Johnny Nelson or Steve Collins for this week. Any of the 4 are fine, but Froch would like an answer at some point within the next 24 hours or he may have to look down other avenues for his opponent this week.
Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
I like how we waited all season for Holyfield and Calzaghe to fight just before the super six and it was a draw and now they will fight again in the super six ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
I was hoping to start this today but it seems there is still some fighters who need fights, including the WTF and IBO champs. looks like Buzz finally accepted Liles spot in the silver six tournament but the draw hasn't been made yet either.
I will run the super six fights and hopefully everyone will chime in by the weekend or I will be forced to make the rest of the match ups myself.

Re: CRW SEASON WEEK 35 MATCHUPS *SUPER SIX BEGINS*
I haven't bothered to match Huck yet, I guess I'll book him to fight Firat Arslan seeing as how Huck hasn't been doing so hot lately.
