To be fair to Mundine-Green they in there own way are more media savvy and polarise opinions more than Gealey whose a nice guy but doesn't grab headlines and public attention like Mundine and Green.

Gealey is my favourite Aussie fighter but Im a bit disappointed with this article. Coming off as a bit bitter he got 900k for the Cotto fight and did dump his WBA belt to fight Mundine a 2nd time for the money.

He should of let Mundine have the Cotto fight, draining to 157 didn't do him any favours, Mundine camp prob won't entertain the 3rd fight cos Geale took away the Cotto fight.
Geale is probably best fighting the top domestics instead of International glory, he looks to go into preservation mode when he gets tagged with a good shot, understandable he has the rest of his life to look forward to with his family, partly another reason I don't agree with Mundine Green rematch, Mundine can do other things for the sport outside the ring & still live comfortably

"The pair went in different weight directions. Mundine will have to gain 10kg from his last fight, Green will have lose 7kg from his last fight to meet at 83kg".

Buy yourself a calculator Jamie Pandaram.

Green weighed in at 86.3kg in his last fight against Kane Watts. Meaning he only needs to lose 3.3kg to make 83kg for the Mundine fight. Not 7kg.

Green wouldn't walk around at 86 kilos on a daily basis, he most likely be higher before a training camp, part reason he's calling for the fight before years end so he can enjoy his Xmas lunch

I rarely watch Senate bullshit, but would be tempted to do so, if they were sitting next to each other. Both are extremely + educated
I might blow 1k next time around & give it a go. I'm sure you'll vote for me...not to mention everyone & anyone that's part of Nerang Fair shopping centre, its costumers & my immediate neighbours

Read the quote from the article again:

"Green will have lose 7kg from his last fight to meet at 83kg".

Green weighed in at 86.3 kg last fight. He only needs to lose 3.3 kg "from his last fight'' to weigh in at 83 against Mundine.

The maths and the meaning could hardly be simpler.

Look outside the box Boss, Green will have to lose more than 3 kilos at his next camp is all I'm saying

The author is referring to weigh in weight. That is confirmed by him quoting the 83 kg figure which is the agreed limit for the rematch.

Green weighed in at 86.3 kg for his last fight. He only needs to lose a further 3.3 kg in order to weigh in at 83 kg against Mundine. Not 7 kg as the author is claiming. No big deal, the author simply got it wrong.

Anyway I hope this increases publicity for his fight with Quinlan (which I think is the reason for this as Geale is usually not a publicity seeking attention whore).

Is the fight still a go ahead? I've heard a new date but haven't seen any promotion as yet

Well according to Gealey's facebook it is in October 14th after being pushed back due to his mums passing. I was thinking this article might be part of the publicity, hype for the fight.

If Daniel wants publicity he needs to get Fox on board to televise it.
