The Tito win is definitely his biggest that's the fight he became star in.

He has several very good wins though.

Glen Johnson was 32-0..and would later become Light Heavyweight Champion... Antonio Tarver because B-Hop went up 15 pounds at the age of 41

Jean Pascal was important... Hopkins was 46 and the oldest boxer to win a major World Title... The Shumenov fight was important... Hopkins was 49 and the oldest boxer to win a World Title Unification Fight.

The fight Hopkikns made the most money was the easiest fight of his life.. He never took a hard punch.. He had to give De La Hoya most of the money... a ridiculous 75/25 split... DLH never thought Hopkins would accept the offer because it was for Hopkins' World Middleweight Title and Hopkins would be a big favorite... Bowie Fischer knew that Oscar would expect a counter offer and would then withdraw the offer... Bowie told Hopkins... "They don't want us to accept this joke offer... Let's jump on this before they can withdraw the offer... That means right now."

That was not an easy fight at all for Hopkins. It was competitive for several rounds. It was Hopkin's most competitive fight in 10 years.

Oscar may have won a round, thank god he dropped and covered the under with seconds to spare. All told, I'd rate tarver as his best win.

To me, his incredible performance against Felix "Tito" Trinidad is his defining fight. It was one of the greatest performances in boxing all time.

Has to be the win over Tito for me....

....although the Pavlik fight was one heck of a result considering it came off the back of losing to Calzaghe and the form line looked so seriously unpromising for Bernard with Pavlik having beaten Jermain and Jermain being ahead of Bernard in their little series.

Admittedly, Bernard did not take a mauling from Joe but he dramtically overturned the perceived form guide and took Kelly's O and pretty much sent the guy into decline as well.

Yeah Pavlik just fell apart mentally after losing to Hopkins. He was never the same fighter again. I don't think Pavlik would've ever handled any loss well.

If Kelly would have went through with the Williams fight, Nard might not have gotten the chance. I won a tidy sum on Hopkins/Pavlik & Mosley/Margarito. Two similar kind of match ups that I wasn't overly confident in victory but the odds were outlandish.

I think you could argue for Winky Wright. Wright had been on a roll. He was a underrated as Trinidad was overrated.

I don't like to diddy, but both were 2k+. I think hops was +275 & Shane +325. I laughed on the message boards that they both were dead men walking, picked them and then bet large. I won a lot on hops late run after losing on Tito.

A robbery is frustrating anyway, I can't imagine how pissed you must've been at that decision if you lost money on it.

Not only did I have a large wager with a bookie. I bet like 25 people cash at the bar we were watching it at. Didn't lose, but it sure felt like it. Can't complain too much, I literally handed the same friend $500 before the Tito/DLH & Evander/Lewis decisions only to get it back!

Tito was a pretty big favorite, big enough that I didn't bet on him and I would have.

One of my better moments, that was, for once I wasn't sitting on the fence I was sure winky would have it pretty easy.

I bet it's safe to assume that your friend is cursing the decision something fierce as he hands you back your $500

Not some of his biggest wins in terms of career defining, but these couple of fights were exciting hopkins affairs IMO. His win against Antwun Echols 2, he gets thrown the canvas, dislocates or hurts his shoulder badly, goes on, fights with one hand, stops Echols. Tough man. Also, Glen Johnson, he set a furious pace, something you don't see in the older Hopkins. Does anyone have other recommended Hopkins exciting fights. I haven't seen to many of his.

The Tito Trinidad fight is pretty fun to watch. Most of the time though if you're looking for particularly exciting fights you're looking elsewhere than Hopkins' career. He's a very good fighter, but most of his fights aren't all that exciting or entertaining.
