You're probably right.

I never saw what was that endearing about discussing Price's plumbing ability ringside, discussing how much he wants to shag Jessica Ennis or dressing as Batman. The "you got beaten by a Fatman" thing the other day was mildly amusing, but generally I find him a bit of a tit.

I still think in the back of my mind Tyson might not even fight Klitchsko i know Fury likes to talk but he has this defeatist attitude in regards to being the unified champion and the pressure that comes with it , and tbh if i was in his position i would also feel the same way .

In the press conference in Germany for the rematch he stated " nothing can ever come close to that one night in Germany" And really he doesn't have to take the fight or prove anything to anyone i think he is willing to do it out of respect more than anything else he also stated that this would be his last fight and wants to get out the "game" he has made enough money and i think he is generally fed up altogether especially with all the horrible bias news reports when the newspapers should have been kissing his feet and reporting one of the greatest boxing achievements in the history of the sport.

I am a huge fan of all the Fury stable especially Tyson but for him to retire before the fight is an excellent move in so many ways . It allows him to remain undefeated world champion , the belts get dispersed and i assume not automatically back to Klitchsko ( Im not 100% on that), Hughie Fury can step up and start knocking over the likes of AJ and Haye, No one gets a huge payday off the back of Tyson's hard graft that includes promoters and fighters, Tyson wont needless have to defend belts against the bums and steroid users of the heavyweight division and keeps his insanity intact whilst the media sharks find someone else to feast on.

Just my tuppence worth

If the fight happens though i'm going for Tyson stoppage Wlad cant box any other way so for people to assume he is going to adapt his style your completely wrong.

So the doping black cloud which is currently hovering over the Fury contingent doesn't count because it doesn't fit your narrative?

You forfeit any kind of credibility when you think that Hughie is going to steam roller AJ and Haye without a second thought.

Tyson Fury is suffering at the hands of the media due to his own actions. When you use the media to transmit your dislike for particular minorities you're wide open for criticism. The guy has shown zero contrition for his actions, is not sorry, and has zero respect for the sport. All he's interested in is one more pay day to ensure he doesn't have to work another day in his life. I don't have a problem with him collecting one more pay cheque, I mean that's precisely what Haye is doing, but how about just showing a little bit more respect for your fellow man and your fans?

Good reply just to begin with the " doping cloud" doesn't fit my narrative because nothing has been proven as of yet however i did consider putting that in but for now lets wait until we get some clear cut answers.

Secondly my argument was on the media specifically targeting him for comments he may have made about homosexuality and gender assigned roles rather than his accolades i mean even the political party i voted for criticized him to score some brownie points whilst riding the media wave , needless to say they have lost my vote. He also did publicly apologize i thought it was sincere .

Finally i used the word steam roll that might have been a bit overbearing but i do personally think Hughie will be mixing with these guys at world level IMO wither you like it or not Hughie has a world class set-up in all elements in respect to training, sparring and coaching and maintains an unbeaten record with the similar caliber of opponents AJ has had besides Dillian Whyte.

Well considering there is no evidence to support your suspicion of 'steroid users' in Tyson's list of potential oppositions either, I suggest you don't say it, it makes you look silly. The 'doping cloud' hanging over Tyson's head is not idle speculation, there is a UKAD investigation pending. I'm not saying Tyson is guilty, I'll await the conclusion of the investigation to determine that, but there is even less evidence supporting accusations towards his opposition.

There's a few things you need to realise about the responsibilities of being world heavyweight boxing champion. Everything you do and say is amplified by 100 times. His comments about homosexuals and such were completely out of line, and no PR staged apology will convince someone otherwise. I mean the fact you based who you vote for on what Tyson Fury says is everything that is wrong with this country.

The level of which Hughie is massively open to debate. I personally am still yet to see anything which would suggest that Joshua would have a great deal of trouble with Hughie. I don't think Hughie has the power to knock Joshua out, and he may be able to ride Joshua's attack for several rounds, not sure if he'll have enough to avoid it for the whole fight.

Totally agree with this, Tyson has complained about the media persecuring him because of his background, whilst at the same time using his own exposure to lay into other minority groups, you can't have it both ways, nobody forced him to make those comments, in fact quite the opposite, he went out of his way to use his fame to air his views, which alienated people in their droves, then complains about a media witch hunt.

Similarly we had people on here claiming that the story by the Mirror was a media witch-hunt because he was a traveller, but the fact is, he is being investigated, due to one of his samples failing - so again, this was not a witch hunt, whatever way you look at it, whether he is found innocent in the end or not, this wasn't cooked up by a media that has it in for him because he is from traveller stock.

Well I guess this ain't happening any time soon, if ever. Klitschko posted on Twitter he's taking the Fury's to court as Peter keeps trying to change the already agreed terms of the rematch.

Same. Had tickets, was super excited for it.... then the postponement was annoying... Then fannying about, getting pissed and jumping around in France with a "bad ankle" turned me off. That's when I got my refund and decided I'll just watch on TV.

Now, I probably won't even watch if there's something better on or I can't be arsed. Couple this with the drug allegations, it's an absolute farce. IF, and that's now a huge IF, it happens, I hope Klit batters him.

This is bad.

Fair play to Klitchko, he is protecting his reputation and being transparent about the whole situation. I really feel sorry for him, he's very close to the end of his career, the last thing he needs is this charade to be dragging on. I wouldn't be too fussed it they just stripped the belts off Fury. He's been a terrible champion so far.

I wonder if they're dragging their feet because of the business with UKAD, I'd love to know what is actually going on, are they trying to buy time because Fury's just not committed at the moment? It's all a bit of a clusterfck for sure.

Boente speaks about it, though doesn't give too much away...

http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/exclusi ... -to-court/

"Now team Fury wants to change many parts of the contract, important parts, financial conditions etc, etc. and now I think we have to make sure that we implement our rights and so we have to go to court in Germany because the contract is under German jurisdiction. We have enforced our rights, and that is what we will do now.

We also want to implement VADA [Voluntary Anti-Doping Association] random testing for the fight, blood and urine [testing], I don’t know if that is also one of the reasons they don’t want it, but that’s just a guess. We want to implement that in the contract and I think we can absolutely ask for that, it’s for both fighters so it’s fair.

I don’t know if it will happen, I have no idea. I spoke to Wladimir and I have never seen a champion being inactive for so long, especially after just winning the title. He would make a lot of money from this fight, I have no idea what’s going on."

The belts are irrelevant either way. Fury is the man who beat the man, taking his IBF from him didn't change that and neither will stripping the remainder...

To remain the man, he'll have to actually fight though. All this ankle business coupled with gadding about in France getting pissed, doesn't really convey the impression of a man aching to get in the ring.

All of this will be forgotten if the rematch goes ahead, if it doesn't alarm bells will begin to ring that Tyson maybe doesn't have the appetite to defend the belt, as he insinuated himself.

What a fornicating joke this is getting, or what a fornicating joke this IS.

I'm sorry but I will be fucked off if Fury gives up the belts or " gets stripped " .

When he beat Klitchko I was made up, new era and all..... What a load of shite.
He has done nowt for boxing since he unified the division, absolute freak show.

If this fight does happen, in England I would be surprised if there is 5000 there to see it. Sort it the fornicate out

Agreed, the belts are relevant to other fighters so they can kid the casual viewing audience into thinking they are something they are not.
Who holds the various version's of the HW Title shouldn't matter to anybody in the know, Tyson is THE HW Champion, until he is beaten or retires it will remain that way...

Or becomes irrelevant from not fighting. You don't remain the man if you don't get in the ring and defend your title.

Pro boxing is an embarrassment as a sport. Has always been corrupt and is a grotesquely unfair business. International amateur boxing, and even at club level has a level of corruption and is not even about money.

No solution really.

True, if somebody beats a couple of names in the top 5 (Fury/Klitschko/Povetkin/Wilder/Joshua) whilst Fury is inactive then they could take his spot, don't see that happening though, do you?
Wilder and AJ can't surpass him knocking over bums now can they?
