My top 3 picks are probably Stiverne, miller or Price. Not who I want to see him fight but who Hearn will choose!
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. ??? - November 26th 2016
David Haye or Joseph Parker would be good, interesting fights. The rest would be walkover easy wins for AJ.

I cant see it being either of those two unfortunately.gilgamesh wrote:David Haye or Joseph Parker would be good, interesting fights. The rest would be walkover easy wins for AJ.

I'm going to be positive here, I reckon it's Pulev.
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. ??? - November 26th 2016
Would be an interesting fight. I think Joshua would probably end up walking through him though due to Pulev's lack of power.lillywhite14 wrote:I'm going to be positive here, I reckon it's Pulev.

He could surprise us all and fight Haye.
Strange how Haye's not got a fight lined up despite all the Briggs nonsense and Haye doesn't seem to be interested in getting some rounds in and testing himself against decent opposition before getting a title shot so maybe now is cashout time.

I'd love if that fight happenedCaptainSpacerod wrote:He could surprise us all and fight Haye.

Isn't Stivern fighting Povetkin?

With Stiverne most likely fighting Povetkin, I'll say it'll be Jarrell Miller.

Parker's also busy with Dimitrenko.
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. ??? - November 26th 2016
Parker would be ideal. He fights Dimitrenko on Oct 1st, but his promoter has already said hed take the AJ fight 8 weeks later. Wont happen though. Too much could go wrong gambling on Parker having an easy night in Oct.
Pulev would be superb too. Genuine top heavy unlike many of the options. Too much risk for Hearn? Probably.
My guess is Dauhpas. Durable, decent, not frightening puncher, took wilder 11 .... Either him or some random 15-0 chap who'll appear in IBF top 15 in next fortnight.

If it's going to be Stiverne, then that makes me feel sad, because that will screw Povetkin all over again. Which is probably exactly what all the Americans want, but ok.
I hope it's going to be Duhaupas instead, or Povetkin otherwise. I would love it to be Povetkin actually, then Povetkin will shock the world, including me, or Wilder might finally become less of a pussy like he is.

Feel if it was a name like Povetkin theyd want it in London. Saying it wont be in O2 rules out Parker and Povetkin for me. Might be wrong.
Stiverne had one uninspiring win since Wilder. And is 15 in IBF. Plus, really speaking, he aint that good. Made Wilder look like "Sugar Ray cassius clay jones jnr the second".

It wil be the worst and easiest option. Hasn't he got a mando due with Parker?
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. ??? - November 26th 2016
Miller fits the bill nicely. Big fat black guy from America, making plenty of noise for his payday.
I personally think Pulev is a hard fight for AJ and he's being moved too cautiously for that right now. It won't be anybody good until Parker.

According to Boxtalk it's rumoured to be a good opponent, judging by the tweet it's probably Haye. And I saw a Stiverne interview a couple of days ago and he said Hearn never wanted the fight, so I doubt it's him.
Still, I'm hoping it's Pulev as he's the most deserving of a shot.

Oh great yeah have a fornicating fight between Londoners and sling it up North in the fornicating winter. Brilliant. Manchester is cursed for me: every time I bought a ticket for a fight there it got called off 'cos somebody stubbed their vagina.Killer Blow wrote:According to Boxtalk it's rumoured to be a good opponent, judging by the tweet it's probably Haye. I hope it's Pulev, too. Haye Joshua should be in London.
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. ??? - November 26th 2016
Price or Miller - and I'm ok with either one.
Miller is big & hungry and has a great punch. He may not be in AJ's league (on paper) but it would be an interesting build up & an exciting fight while it lasts.
Price, well it would be nice for Price to have a chance at a title plus he has the punch to take anyone out although I think AJ would just jab the granny out of him for 4/5 rounds. Saying that, it would have been better build up if Price fought next month and AJ just happened to be there so they could have a disagreement over something so heinous they just had to fight
