I don't understand why they don't take the belt away from Wilder, like they allways do with Russian boxers.
There's clearly massive racism going on against Russians and Americans are saved all the time with bullshitreasons.

The WBC belt is worth like nothing any more, it's a joke to me.

If you say so. You can keep assuming that Wilder wants challenges while fighting bum after bum after bum if you want though.
hhmmmmm... so he lost 4.6 million when Povetkin failed the test at the time. That would have been his highest pay day by far. What did he get for fighting Arreola instead? He got a quarter of that & 2 injuries. Sometimes I shake my head when I read the "DUCK" crap. The guy has a daughter with health issues so I'm pretty sure he was excited win or lose about 4.6 million because that is life changing money for his family. I'm pretty sure he wasn't happy when he kissed 4.6 million away because there is the possibility he never makes that kind of money again... Sometimes posters just don't think because they are blinded by their nuthuggery...
I'm very sorry to hear that Wilder has a daughter who is unwell. However, that said, I find it highly unlikely that Wilder is struggling financially and is desperate for money to care for his daughter adequately. I mean we're not talking about a rags to riches story here. He is 37 fights into his pro career, including 5 world title fights. That's not to mention the likely numerous endorsements fortifying his bank balance.

I'm not saying that Wilder won't be a little pissed about missing out on such a lucrative pay day, or that Wilder doesn't deserve the pay day, but attempting to tug on the heart strings is pretty weak for your argument. He'll have the opportunity for future pay days, providing he takes the fights. If he goes his career avoiding the big fights, he'll be always remembered as a guy who ducked the fight, I sincerely hope that will not be the case.

Interesting matchup - I think Stiverne has the edge in both punching power and chin, so if it turns to a slugfest, he could well come out on top. That said, Povetkin has a big edge in footspeed and overall athleticism, as well as advantages in explosiveness, punch output and defense, which should nullify any advantages Stiverne has. Stiverne has only been stopped once and that was premature, so it will be interesting to see is Povetkin can get him out of there. If it's the same 250+lb Stiverne of his most recent fight, I see him losing widely or being stopped. If it's a fit Stiverne in the 230s, it could be a very good fight.

He may also be pissed after he loses a defamation lawsuit to Ryabinsky.

Well I guess if he's found guilty of defamation, that's his fault. You can only lodge a defamation claim if there's some legitimacy in it (i.e. provide evidence of false defamation). I won't have sympathy with Wilder if that's what he did.

That won't cost wilder one penny. They'll probably settle both suits with ryabinsky paying for wilders expenses incurred.

I provided links to the Povetkin-Wilder defamation lawsuit, which can be daisy-chained to review multiple court documents supplied by both sides.

Assuming you haven't read these documents, why do you believe that Wilder won't be punished for his libellous comments or for breaking his contractual agreements?

Why do you feel that the Russian promoter is obliged to pay Wilder?

I am glad someone is amused. In other non-important news, asdfjkl still thinks Wilder should give up the belt to Povetkin. I can't wait to see what kind of monster Povetkin is without PEDS. I'm guessing he will gas out in a couple of rounds.

Not Wilder, the WBC, they should do the right thing. Wilder can allways act like the idiot he is. Povetkin has one of the best stamina in the division. And never used doping. It's not his fault that meldonium is now on the anti doping list. That's probably all part of the, "how to get Russia away from the olympics, because they are too good!" idea America has thought out. Some people even expect meldonium soon to be taken of the anti dopinglist again and others suggest that banning everyone who once drunk a cup of coffee makes much more sense.

Gas out now all of a sudden could only happen because of old age. The chance of this happening with Stiverne is much more likely, since he never was a real sportmen, no skills, avarage stamina, only power if his punch takes about 5 seconds.

This is a country that has been comfortably behind the US for as long as we can remember. This is also a country which was behind GB in number of golds in 2012, despite being on drugs. It's important to not confuse the melodonium scenario with the state sponsored doping which has been going on since 2011.

Well at least we get to see Povetkin in action again and its against someone Wilder has fought, so comparisons of both Povetkin and Wilders fights against Stirverne will be made but ultimately wont mean much.

Im expecting an early knockout win by Povetkin. Hes going to try and get comfortable early, close the distance in the danger rounds and look to make a statement.

That is why I think he would be foolish to not fight Joshua next, even though it would be a tougher fight.

Many US athletes are doped to the gills, going all the way down to high school and probably even elementary school. They have better docctors advising them how to cover it up though, plus the advantage that Doctor Margaret Goodman's neVADA mafia drug testing racket is in Las Vegas.

I'm also expecting the early KO by the Vityaz man. Stiverne doesn't deserve a title shot but at least Povetkin will stay active and in the news, because the western alphabet things were trying to elbow him out in favor of their precious pets, namely Wilder.

He's perfectly right, many of the American Olympians have been cought using drugs, sometimes even several times, and they still go to the Olympics.

They should take an example of the Dutch, or Belgiums for example.
