I have always maintained that the Marquess of Queensberry Rules ruined the fight game.
Imagine if Mike Tyson had been wearing spikes against Holyfield; now that would have been interesting.
I need help!
First: Does anyone know what the hell a “sprig” is? – Half of the Internet pages identify the rule as “sprigs” the other half have it listed as “springs” – does anyone know which is correct?
Second: Is it spelt “Marquess” or “Marquis”? Is it one of those American v. English things?
