I said that Crawford was a future P4P #1 talent when I saw him beat Breidis Prescott...and it's not because Prescott is some great victory or he's a world beater or anything. It's because I could see the level of skill that Crawford fought with. I still stand by that statement. In the know 85 wrote:A good judge will know long before its proven! Exactly, people that know the game knows what Spence can do, jesus what do you guys want?
He KOed 2 guys back to back that the biggest punchers in the game couldn't, I'm telling you now that Spence is the best fighter out of Texas since Norris & Curry, take that to the bank!

To further show that he really lives up to the hype of a monster who would run through everyone at 147, I'd at least like to see him in with someone who is dangerous offensively. He is continually being matched with featherfists and generally mediocre opponents who are made for him to walk through, and we haven't seen how he will respond when under significant fire. I know he was hurt earlier in his career, and after coming forward the entire bout he spent the remainder of the fight backpeddling, not being too comfortable with bulling forward as he had been.Exactly, people that know the game knows what Spence can do, jesus what do you guys want?

By the way, I wouldn't say that Manny at 147 and Thurman are two of the biggest hitters in the sport, and I think the difference in their results against Bundu was in major part due to them being less aggressive than Spence was (though Thurman still dropped Bundu with the first notable shot he threw). Spence is very good, someone who stands out as a potential P4P level fighter, but I think his style and the type of guys he's facing serve to flatter him.

Spence-Bundu drew the largest television audience for boxing in over 18 years, which peaked at 6.34m viewers.Lead Write wrote:"Spence Defeats Bundu - Nothing New Learned"
What can be gleaned of Spence from this bout?
This bout is the highest-rated PBC fight to-date.
Re: Spence Defeats Bundu - Nothing New Learned
I think a lot of that had to do with the time slot, being after the Gold medal Basketball game. Still impressive though.Enlightened-One wrote:Spence-Bundu drew the largest television audience for boxing in over 18 years, which peaked at 6.34m viewers.Lead Write wrote:"Spence Defeats Bundu - Nothing New Learned"

Yeah if we look at it from that angle, they did a good job of timing their fight.

Nothing is easy for me to say??? I'm telling you now what I think is going to happen in years to come.. How's that easy?? Read it again mate! Your picking one tiny point and ignoring the bulk of the statementBadhusker wrote:Since you only joined here in July, it is pretty easy for you to say, and hard for anyone to verify what you have been saying for the last 2-3 years. I do, however agree that he is the real deal. Now to get him in with some top guys. Spence claimed many boxers turned down the fight that Bundu eventually took.In the know 85 wrote:A good judge will know long before its proven! Saying it when it's already happend?? I think thurman has better footwork but not by a huge amount.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I don't think it would be easy. But I don't see anything Keith does better.

Disagree, Spence wastes no movement. If anything, Keith fights more naturally off of his back foot. Which is where he'll be. Spence might have the best conditioning in the sport.Cygnus475 wrote:I think thurman has better footwork but not by a huge amount.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I don't think it would be easy. In the entire sport? Has he even gone past 10 let alone 12...? How do you figure if that's the case?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Disagree, Spence wastes no movement. As for Keith, has Spence consistently stalked and pinned down a fighter with good footwork? I know he nailed algieri.

Gym talk, he certainly looks the part too. He's never stalked and pinned down a fighter like Keith. His footwork is perfect to this point.Cygnus475 wrote:In the entire sport? Re: Spence Defeats Bundu - Nothing New Learned
Spence's footwork is not perfect, but better than most in my opinion. Why is it that so many folks hate on guys that are up and coming? If you are a true fan of the sport you shouldn't be like that at all.
Spence isn't a cocky SOB, and isn't bragging about dominating the best in the division. He just wants to prove himself against the best.

Who is hating on him?
Spence gets loads of praise despite his relatively weak resume, and I don't notice him getting much flak.
