Taylor will stop Ryan. Good fight for him at this stage. Glad they're cracking on with him. Ryan is tough and should ask a few questions but I expect Taylor to come through and look good in doing so.

Has it been sanctioned for a title? Yes he is with McGuigan and has excellent amateur pedigree but he hasn't been past 2 rounds and has only fought at preliminary level in his 6 fights.

It's been announced as such, so would assume so.

I like the look of Taylor, but this is a risky fight so early in his career.

Refreshing to see a prospect willing to take a risk, though. Could be a really good fight.

Cyclone again coming in and stepping on MGM toes who have had a show booked for the weekend after at the same venue. Think we bit of professionalism there and staying away from each other's dates. Be hard to sell two shows over 7 day period in Scotland.

Date probably dictated by C5 but agree it's not ideal

And prospect boxing doing the light welter Scottish title rematch between Doyle/Mcshane same night in Motherwell. Hope Josh is a big ticket seller as MGM guys will sell to their mates as will prospects to theirs. 8 shows in Scotland in October so Josh will need to carry the whole show.

I amnt sure how many Josh sold in the last meadowbank show to be honest but I am guessing there was around 600 people there and Ronnie sold 250. I don't think he's a massive seller. I think he's a great boxer though and will do very well as a pro. Good opponent as Josh has fought basically lightweights every fight. This is kinda a sink or swim fight in my eyes. Although if you look at his opponents they are all tiny. His last one was beaten by kiko Martinez who's obviously a super bantam. Dave Ryan will get up and push him I think.

Good seeing a highly rated prospect stepped up early.

I've never seen him fight but we will see how good he is in this fight.

Surely you should have to earn it to some extent, look at Andrew Selby for example

Come to think of it I think I saw him live on the FrAmpton v Quigg undercard. I don't remember much of it though as apart from Lowe v McCulloch it was poor.

I do love fights like this when a prospect has fought nobodies then fights someone to determine if they are legit.

He seems a guy with a lot of potential, but fights like this could ruin him, he needs more experience before he steps up.

Like others are pointing out Taylor really needs to look good for the sake of boxing north of the border. Burns surely hasn't got more than 18 months left at the top. Well I'm not even sure he is there because Di Rocco was so bad.

If he absolutely batters Dave Ryan then that's a massive statement IMO.

Jason Easton is fighting Mitch Buckland for the Celtic Title on the undercard, a real good test for Jason and he's very confident of victory.

Tough fight mate but I think Jason is a talented guy and is more than capable of getting the win.
