Eubank stoppage all day long.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tommy Langford - October 22nd 2016
This will be interesting. I remember speaking to Tom Langford (yes he prefers being called 'Tom') a while ago and he was not overly impressed by Eubank Jr in their sparring sessions. Tom allegedly did very well in their sparring but take that with a pinch of salt because sparring and an actual fight are two different things. Eubank Jr will rightfully be a huge favourite but if he cannot stop or drop Tom then this will be very interesting. Tom is an intelligent lad and I remember covering his debut for Boxrec News.

Williams versus Patterson as chief support. Two good fights.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tommy Langford - October 22nd 2016
Surprised Eubank seems to be looking to win the Lonsdale belt outright before moving on. Now, on paper, he's head and shoulders above brit level, which makes each contest more of a risk.

Langford to shock everyone, Team Langford!

Can't see this actually happening.

Maybe because his Dad never got one.Wales wrote:Surprised Eubank seems to be looking to win the Lonsdale belt outright before moving on. Now, on paper, he's head and shoulders above brit level, which makes each contest more of a risk.

He's turned down millions for these fights. They know he's not as good as they say.J-C wrote:Maybe because his Dad never got one.Wales wrote:Surprised Eubank seems to be looking to win the Lonsdale belt outright before moving on. Langford's Commonwealth champ but i have heard no mention of unification,is it just Eubank's British on the line?
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tommy Langford - October 22nd 2016
Eubank Jr. dominates this guy I figure.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tommy Langford - October 22nd 2016
Has Langford and one more fight to win it outright. Hope its worth spending a year of career gettingJ-C wrote:Maybe because his Dad never got one.Wales wrote:Surprised Eubank seems to be looking to win the Lonsdale belt outright before moving on. This looks to be a great card yet again by fwarren/allegedly.
Wonder whether Rigo will get added to the bill? I know they're looking at getting BJS out the week after on Fury undercard too.

Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tommy Langford - October 22nd 2016
Eubank jr is taking these fights because he keeps pricing himself out of the bigger fights. He either doesn't want them or overvalues himself. Still a good learning fight for Eubank who will certainly be experienced when he does finally challenge the best in the division.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tommy Langford - October 22nd 2016
I cant see this being any more of a contest than his last fight TBH.
Eubank seems to be treading water, no doubt waiting for what he and Daddy feel is the right deal on a fight that actually captures the imagination.
He just better hope people don't stop caring in the meantime.

He's being brought along brilliantly ..He had no ameteur carreer to speak off , he's only really domestic level but at the top of the domestic level , with only sy BJS above him , he's continually dispite his lack of experience on the world scene, being mentioned has an opponennt for the elite .
Wether thats down to his father or his arrogance .t does'nt matter he's being mentioned his name is in the mix , and while he waits he's gaining experience at the lower levels , I don't know what he gets paid but lets say 100 grand if he has 2-3 domestic fights a year for a couple more years ,gets that money in the bank and THEN challenge for world honors against a fat blobby BJS who has only had 1 or 2 fights in the next 2 years ,, a couple of easy defences and a cash out fight against Canelo or GGG ,, who knows in a couple of years GGG might be beatable , Jnr will have had a lot more ring time and he might be the man , he has the time on his side , who really out there is the shining staar , its GGG and Canelo ,, GGG is getting older and Canelo well he does'nt seem to keen to fight anyone his own size , let alone bigger

Is the Eubanks long term strategy to kill one of these British level lads in the ring? He is way above this level.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tommy Langford - October 22nd 2016
No lol, just to win the Lonsdale belt outright, but the way he fights, someone is goner get hurt.johnswan1 wrote:Is the Eubanks long term strategy to kill one of these British level lads in the ring? He is way above this level.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Tommy Langford - October 22nd 2016
If Langford can stand up to Junior's power I can see him winning this on points.
I know they sparred in April 2015, and ive heard it from more than one person that Eubank was completly outboxed. The reason I air with caution though is, Nick Blackwell told me he done the same thing to Eubank Jr when I met him at the MEN for the Saunders v Lee fight.

Yes we could see that in their fight, where Eubank jr dominated and Langford has already admitted that Eubank jr got the better of him in that spar. I know people who have sparred Eubank jr, he is vicious and unrelenting.Fitzy901 wrote:If Langford can stand up to Junior's power I can see him winning this on points.

He's waiting for Golovkin to go away and the division to weaken. His father had no interest in fighting the best and his less talented son will be kept well away from them too.J-C wrote:Maybe because his Dad never got one.Wales wrote:Surprised Eubank seems to be looking to win the Lonsdale belt outright before moving on. In hindsight the Eubanks probably knew something we didn't ?
