Aye, he doesn't want to do it the hard way because he's David Haye. But at the same time - because he's David Haye - none of the top names'll fight him unless they have to. This is where promoters are supposed to read the mood of us fans and get the wheels turning, but no. Wilder-Haye; Joshua-Haye... Absolutely. Even his haters want to see him fight one of these guys in the hope of seeing him lose. I'd still be keen to see him fight Fury.

But who needs Haye? Who needs Ortiz? Joshua seems like one of the few who actually would fight anyone, and look who he's served. Bobbins.

Sorry, but Haye doesn't deserve to fight any top contender lol.
He should just keep his worth and fight Briggs, I don't care who loses. After that he can try Ortiz if Haye dares (which he doesn't) or fight someone else his own level. Wilder or some hypejob like that.

Haye's career has largely been plagued by inactivity. He's had eight fights in nearly eight and a half years since moving up to heavyweight. That's absolutely terrible, even with injuries. The guy makes a little go a very long way.

Haye is now getting divorced according to reports so that should keep him busy with solicitors for a while.

Well, he may well need to fight soon then, for the payout.

He'd be an absolute lunatic to fight Ortiz if he had the chance of fighting Wilder.

He had six in about four years and then effectively retired. I am not at all sure he isn't still effectively retired; but willing to occasionally make money for what are essentially exhibitions; since 2012 he has done nothing but fight two guys who were only there to fall over. We shall see whether he has any genuine ambition left or just wants a payday against Briggs, who is no doubt going into it with the same mindset.

I would prefere to fight the better boxer instead of the bum, but most of them go for belts indeed. All world title fights that happened in America aren't real world title fights, neither of the two boxers in any of those titlefights was actually the best. Klitschko was the best, till Fury fought him. I currenly see Fury as the boxer that showed the best performance in the past two years. He proved me wrong, by winning against Klitschko.

Nothing to do with belts, it's money. It's Haye's job. He would get a lot more money for fighting Wilder. A tremendous amount more.

David Haye would win by 1st or 2nd round KO over Briggs, and it'd be easy as pie. He might as well blast out Briggs, and make him a non factor going forward before fighting someone like Wilder.

I think they have been on the rocks for years, she always used to go to his fights but hasn't for a very long time.

There were rumours about him tupping an X-Factor triallist who was mutton dressed as mutton wag type who had the type of 'bants' that could easily trick a dummy with a sackful into using her as a recepticle,, at a price.

He has already been divorced.

Also on a side note see the picture of him and AJ last month in the article. Barely any size difference between them.

Haye should KO Briggs relatively early.
A younger Briggs would have made it a more competitive fight... but Briggs is too old now

Show me what you guess?
That doesn't make sense, but are you asking why I think he'd make more money for fighting Wilder? If so, it's obvious. People have heard of Wilder, and he brings his own money with him. Ortiz brings no money to the table and nobody outside boxing has heard of him.

Far more people in the UK would pay to see Haye fight Wilder than to fight Ortiz; and I have no doubt it would be the same in the USA.

Well, I personally disagree with those persons, but who knows you're right.
I think even in the UK people would prefere to see the Ortiz fight. On top of that, Wilder is way too scared for everyone.

Szpilka looks a lot better right now as he did in januari, I don't think Wilder ever dares to fight him again.

Wilder and Haye are pretty much the same style, fight bums when you find one, don't fight if there's any risk at all, Wilder is just a little more extreme on this, he doesn't even show up if he can grab a bunch of money.

You remind me of the two blonde foreign dudes from family guy.

'I had so many drinks last night. I was so hung out this morning' 'me too friend I was blowing chinks all last night'

'It's just like a childhood game of hide and find'

'Lets go and dunk our whistles in the trawler to celebrate'

'Last night I almost had sex on top of this girl'

'David Haye is way bum. He couldn't even fight a wet bag friend'

Only a tiny proportion of people in the UK have even heard of Ortiz. Far more know Wilder. It's not a matter of whether you agree with them, or which is the better fight.

Debating what makes most money for Haye, ... Wilder or Ortiz, is like debating which of two combs a bald man would be better off buying. Whatever the answer it matters not a jot.

Haye Briggs will be made if the money is right. I'm guessing both will want way more than they're worth. They'll either agree on a fee, or both say the other one was unreasonable and the fight won't happen.

Haye will turn to a rated ponderous, but durable fighter and continue to do his best to stay relevant.

Haye has a date in Oct, no opponent. Joshua a date 4 weeks later, no opponent. Just saying

I don't know what is so complicated from a WBA point-of-view.

If they want to give Haye a shot at their title, then they can.

It wouldn't be the first time that they or any of other stupid alphabet orgnations have done something crazy like that.

As for Haye v Briggs; thank goodness that farce hasn't been perpetuated on us yet.

If Haye is serious about this comeback, he needs t obe frying bigger fish than a clown like Briggs, even if Briggs is probably better than Haye's last two opponents; something which isn't that difficult TBH, as Haye must have found those two opponents in a hospital mortuary!
