WBA World Title doubleheaders Wednesday

On one side you have Kono... A Puncher.
Image

Kono is all about timing and that big right.
Image

He is a stalker... but he can be patient, use footwork to bait his opponent and stay out of range. And will then go in to land that right.
Image

A stalker that can turn up the heat when he smells blood and cumulate brutal damage.

Luis Concepcion should be every boxing fans favorite...
Image

He is a showman warrior that leaves it all in the ring.
Image

He has an excellent quick precise and well timed straight right.
Image

It carries good pop too especially early.
Image

His left hook is not bad at all either...natural... effective... very quick...a little wide once fatigued though.
Image

he also has that short uppercut he can mix in combo or time with more weight on it.
Image

His main problem is he has a too big heart for his chin and gets dropped but usually still wins and often brutally.

I think Luis' explosive and dynamic style will be a problem on the scorecards for Kono. Luis also has the much better arsenal of punches and is much quicker too particularly int he first half. Main problem for Luis will be that he likes to overcommit on quick grinding combos and Kono has that big counter right equalizer... and Luis chin not being the greatest... he could get in trouble. I think Kono might flash KD him and then grind him out. If Luis is smart he boxes with speed from the outside using his superior footwork... could win it rather easy... but he is a warrior, will end up trading and it will end up being Kono's right vs Luis' exposed Chin... Particularly in the second half.
