Will Brook derail him now? Probably not, but it's a better matchup that some are suggesting, as Brook isn't much smaller than GGG and is definitely the best all-round boxer he has faced to date.
I have watched the Ouma fight - it's by far the toughest of GGG's career to date and doesn't look good for him. That said, GGG was reportedly very jetlagged and under-rested for that fight, which must have at least partially affected his performance. In addition to that, Ouma's good chin, faster hands and inside fighting skills gave Golovkin big problems. From watching footage I've concluded that GGG needs to extend his arms to get full power and works best at mid-to-long range, so the best chance anyone has of beating him is to stay on the inside, push him back, work his body and smother his punches. Andre Ward certainly has the ability to do this, although I would he hoping like mad that GGG would land the knockout blow, as he's the far more entertaining fighter.
For the record, I think the stoppage in the Ouma fight was a fair one - he was taking too much punishment and could have been seriously hurt had the fight been allowed to continue.

You realize that 33 years ago we have only the WBC & WBA? Carlos Palomimo and Pipino Cuevas vied for the 147. The IBF is the first born after these two. Larry Holmes popularized the IBF from the beginning. Next came the WBO. You know much history there? Lot of resistence to the new organization. I'd say..later 1997 they come up. Until they gained recognition they came up divided. That is..the Heavyweight div. lagged behind the other weight divisions. The IBO is the fifth group. What of the WBF WBU WBB IBC & ETC???
No man. This is exactly what has disrupted/hurt the Sport in the eyes of the general media on a world wide level. You ever notice the quiet your newspapers give to the Sport? Well notice now. Thank the IBO and organizations like theirs.
This isn't the only thing wrong with boxing in modern. The pronounciation of "three champs" by WBA is bad too. I can see thru it. I know true champion is the supreme one but, such mess highly with the cross over appeal!
