If I were Price's team I be pushing for a fight with Chisora. It certainly wouldn't be a pushover for Price but Chisora is still a big name and most importantly lacks power. I could see that fight selling out the Echo Arena and if Price won it he would then be in the mix. It would also generate much more money than a Parker fight given that Parker is a virtual unknown over here (albeit a very good prospect).
Re: David Price keen to showcase power on next Anthony Joshua card
I see absolutely no way Price beats Joshua. I don't even give him a puncher's chance. And that's from somebody who was telling people he was one to watch a couple of years ago.Sklar wrote:Got the feeling Pricey is pissing in the wind trying to chase down Joshua. Price just doesn't have the self belief to beat anybody any more.

Calling someone out doesn't warrant you a title shot. There's no proof that Price knocked him out anyway. Price is probably the most deluded boxer I've ever seen.foxdog1923 wrote:Its Joshua whos not fighting his battles!!Killer Blow wrote:Parker is not a world champion. Joshua who apparently got knocked out by Price. After a bit more reading into this, it seems Joshua was troubled by Prices style at the time (this was before the Olympics) with Joshua having trouble getting away from Prices right hand which apparently he wore throughout the sparring rounds wobbling Joshua until eventually he Joshua got knocked out. Styles make fights and maybe Price is an awkward type of fight for Joshua.
So I see why his fans DONT want Joshy to fight Price and why Joshua hasn't responded to Prices constant calling out and Prices claims of knocking him out. Joshuas said nothing! Has he been "silenced".. Cue in JOSEPH PARKER!! No fear.
http://youtu.be/h8Jy3Srn16Y
And there's absolutely no way Price would beat Joshua or any half decent fighter. The guy is absolutely terrible period. You just want Joshua to fight Price in the hope Parker can have an easy title shot. But the reality is Price will never beat a top 30 heavyweight.
And p.s. Parker wouldn't fight anyone. Kevin Barry won't let him anywhere near Ortiz or Povetkin. Definitely not Ortiz.
David Price calls JOSHUA out.
David Price tells everyone he knocked out JOSHUA.
After all this ruckus, guess who doesnt respond? JOSHUA.
I just want Joshua to sort out someone who claims to have knocked him the fuk out.No excuses, its Joshuas fight that hes not taking but Parkers keen. Parkers keen to fight Ortiz, Joshua, Price. You cant say the same for Joshua.
Fury himself admitted Joshua beat him up in sparring a few years ago. Price also beat Fury in amateurs. Means nothing.
And no, Parker is not keen to face Ortiz. I've never even heard him mention the guy's name.

Price calls him out over and over and over...he also mentions knocking him out and even others that were there that saw the sparring session say Joshua got KTFO not only that I heard Joshua struggled before that. Theres a lot of people saying this and Joshua aint saying otherwise. Joshua clearly does not want to fight him.

But Price beating someone decent is about as likely as Tomas Mrazek becoming a world champion.
Speaking of which, if Tomas Mrazek claimed he KO'd Joshua 6 years ago and starts demanding a title shot, should he give it to him?

As far as I know, Mrazek and Joshua dont have a history. Price is a frightful part of Joshuas past so it seems. Prices terror resonates through Joshuas FANS as they clearly dont want Joshua to take the fight...not that we can sway the fight to happen anyway but you get a sense of fear with the fans regarding Joshua vs Price. Joshua has to just tweet bullshit or lies to Prices claims but so far Ive searched and nothing. OTHER people are wondering why Joshuas silence is ongoing, check out youtube, AJ never addresses it. His fans do but not the man himself.Killer Blow wrote: Speaking of which, if Tomas Mrazek claimed he KO'd Joshua 6 years ago and starts demanding a title shot, should he give it to him?
Re: David Price keen to showcase power on next Anthony Joshua card
Joshua would KO Price very quickly. The pressure of an actual world title fight would see Price crumble as he has at each step up in his career to date.foxdog1923 wrote:As far as I know, Mrazek and Joshua dont have a history. Joshua doesn't have to respond to Price, he is not a credible or worthy opponent. If he becomes one we can see how frightful he is. My guess is not very.

I appreciate Joshua hasn't exactly fought the cream of the crop since becoming champion, but Price has still done nothing to warrant a title shot. Price holds no cards in this situation. If he did, he wouldn't be resorting to this ridiculous begging for a fight.
What if every British heavyweight started saying they'd decked Joshua in sparring, would Joshua be obliged to comment on it every time?

Why would Joshua even be concerned with Price at the moment, when he has the world at his feet?
When Price proves that he is worth a damn, then he can call out Joshua & expect a response.

Describing price as 'frightful' is the funniest thing I've read in a while. If Joshua is really scared of Price he should retire from boxing now as it clearly isn't for him.
Joshua is a world champion that hasn't fought any top contenders. He already had that joke defence against Breazele, so why would anyone want him to fight a guy that's worse than his last three opponents.

Teper's power was nothing special either. Chisora would probably knock him out, look at how he fought Pulev, and how Teper fought Price.SteveDow wrote:If I were Price's team I be pushing for a fight with Chisora. How can Joshua be ducking someone by just not responding? Anyone who's anyone is calling Joshua out. He's the most lucrative fighter in the world. Joshua is lining up players in the top 10 in the likes of Pulev and Parker. Why would he be ducking, or more like wasting his time, with Price? It's not acceptable to be calling players out in interviews with no record to justify it. He wants a payday out of Joshua, nothing more. If he was serious about boxing, then he'd get active and work his way up the rankings.

Spot on. It will go down as his biggest achievement, which says it all.
Re: David Price keen to showcase power on next Anthony Joshua card
David price is a gentleman. A lovely guy. But he will never do anything in boxing. I said after the John McDermott fight he was going nowhere. He may have beat him quickly but watch the first minute or so- he can't keep him off him.
6 ft9 but can't establish distance through his Jab. His jab is absolutely awful and that's why he never did anything in the pro game. If uour that height and can't job then your giving your opponent a free reign to close you down, give you no space to work and Bang you out.
Price's problem is confidence and his jab. Both are related. He throws a poor jab as he's too wary about what's coming back. It's tentative and pawing. His chin is irrelevant.

Price clutching at straws trying to get a pay day talking about KO ing Joshua on sparring back in 2011.
At the time Joshua was an amateur who'd only been boxing 4 years, Price was already a 11-0 (9) pro. Lot of water passed under bridge since then.

Joshua wasn't the champion then, he was a noob amateur. Whyte also beat Joshua in the amateurs. Look how that ended? It's so completely irrelevant what happens in the amateurs or what happens in sparring. You know Liverpool beat Barcelona in pre-season this season 6-0. What do you think would happen if they met in the Champions League semi finals this year?foxdog1923 wrote:I know what youre saying. You dont have to convince me that Joshua could beat Price. Based on what practically EVERYbody has said, Joshua would beat Price and I know what happened back then doesnt mean much for the now in this particular case of Joshua and Price. Its just a match that should happen because of what Price did to him IMO. At the same time I totally understand Prices situation and a need for a big payday. I know all that.Rob3_142 wrote:Joshua wasn't the champion then, he was a noob amateur. Whyte also beat Joshua in the amateurs. Look how that ended?
