Numerous manage themselves. Go to your profile & register as manager. Have your credit card handy as it costs 10 cents per day (1 year minimum) This is to prevent persons falsely claiming to be manager. Boxing game is never short of them ;-)

Not trying to be a smartass here , But if you have to ask the questions you've asked , you should'nt really be doing be managing yourself ,, try and aligne yourself with a good profesional honest manager , and you take care of the training ..But with saying that if you do give it a go at self management ,, I suppose you can always give the manager the arse , and not worry about being sued :TU: :TU: good luck with it

If you want to manage yourself you've got be prepared to work hard - away from the gym. you've got to make contact with a host of matchmakers, and tell them exactly what you're prepared to do and what not ! Will you take a fight at short notice? how much will you accept? How far are you prepared to travel? What weights will you accept an opponent at? Who will travel with you? Will you use the 'house' seconds. Do you cut easily ?
But if you're up for all the extra work -go for it !

I did it and found it hard, when a matchmaker is looking for opponents he prefers to ring up one guy who will fill up the other side of the bill. If you manage yourself you will be rung last, probably for tough fights and short money.
I thought not having to pay a manager would save me money but a decent manager will earn his 25% by getting you regular work and making sure you get at least the going rate.

BTW, forgot to mention, one can make helluva more coin as constant loser than winner. Winners are lucky to get a fight once a month. Losers get to earn a quid every week ;-)

Don't know if you used to live in the UK, but a quid a week doesn't stretch too far these days!
