Plans for Saturday's fight?

Post by Stuarty »

As usual it's been a long August for us boxing nuts but the action returns with a bang this Saturday! Hopefully it's worth the wait. I'm actually looking forward to the whole card. I'm not bothered that it's not the best I'm just pleased to have weekend boxing back after the long wait.

Anyone going or doing anything exciting for it? I'm going to get some beers in and watch it in my own house. I've said to a few of the boys to come over but with the old firm game kicking off so early on the same day I'm thinking they'll all be well on and smashed by tea time so it might just be me and the Mrs. I think I'll let my two oldest boys stay up and watch it as well if my mates decide to stay away.

I can't wait so no doubt this week will drag in!

My mates are the same! The worst for it is actually an ex pro! Comes in and tells you all his woes and talks about shagging  :witzend: The other ones start slagging each other and are fuckin oblivious to what's going on in the ring!

I've got a few days off this week because my Mrs is starting back uni so it's going to be even more of a drag! Being the mummy for most of the week

I'm off to the Wolves game in the afternoon I'll have a few beers before (and during) that maybe a quick one after but then straight home for the 6pm start. Don't tend to drink watching boxing as don't concentrate and tend to just fall asleep these days!

Will get a couple of hours sleep before Gonzalez though will set alarm for about 15 mins before that fights due on.

I'm heading down on Friday night with my mate and catching the late show at the Comedy Store. On Saturday we'll be watching Celtic v Rangers at a pub near the hotel then heading to the O2 for some lunch and going in as soon as doors open. I reckon we'll have at least one of the title bouts quite early and don't want to miss anything.

Got the parents down as I'm off to Ffos Las Sunday.
Hopefully get them drunk enough that they fall asleep early and I can watch the boxing.

Probably a couple of beers pre football. Watch the match walk quickly to the tube jump on that to the o2 get in there pretty early is the aim and the prices should keep me from getting too battered haha

I'm very lucky, I am ringside for this.

Its going to be a great event and I can't wait, certainly now some more names have been added to the undercard.

Staying at the Hilton in Canary Wharf, bit of lunch around there then over to the O2 nice and early (i'll worry about getting back over there after the event but hopefully the tubes will still be running)

Roll on Saturday for me and good luck to all the fighters

Watching the Brook vs GGG fight, definitely. I've already ordered it in. I have a bet on with the missus, she's a Brook fan and I betted her than Golovkin would trash him.

West Ham/Watford then a quick dash home, Beer will be in the fridge and a home made curry courtesy of the missus is the supposed agenda, she will be in the Conservatory watching x factor and I will have a Peroni in hand, a Chicken Madras either on or in my lap depending on the balancing skills and enjoying hopefully what will be a good night of boxing.

I'm going to visit a mate in Birmingham, where we will drink copious amounts of wine, get on the chang, and then shout incessantly at one another, pretty much ignoring the fight, if previous form is anything to go by.

Yeh they do but not on the jubilee just yet, they do run quite late though so should be fine anyway I think about 1am is the last one (or around that anyway)

Never been to the o2 any idea how long it will take from getting off the tube at north greenwich to getting in and to our seats?

Not long at all. You'll be from the tube and to the bit you show your tickets at within 10 minutes. Then it depends where your seats are but won't be long

Typical fight night - cooking a red hot curry and having a few bets. Looking forward to it after a tough few weeks so a very welcome distraction.
