Kell Brook to make welterweight has to be one of the biggest I know if what the Ingle's and Hearn say about his walk around weight correct.

Bellew making Light-Heavyweight was also a ridiculously big cut, I also heard George Groves starts his training camp north of 200lbs.

Anyone know of any other British fighters who make massive weight cuts,to get into their weight category?

effing ridiculous that bellew and brook should be cutting large amounts of weight, bellew got a fairly slim frame so if he wasnt such a greedy fecker he could make LH fine, as for brook unfortunately for him his trainer thinks bodybuilding and boxing go hand in hand which they dont

I deffo agree with your comment on Dominic ingle, but Bellew walks around at well over 15 stone mate. making 12 stone 7 must of killed him and his head looked too big for his body when he was boxing at lhw.

Don't really follow him but Lee Selby seems huge for his weight class.

I watched a bit of Bellew vs Chilemba before Chilemba fought Kovalev and couldn't believe how emanciated he was at LHW. The jump between LHW and cruiser is pretty big though, so he goes from looking like that to being fleshy at the weight and cutting ten pounds nice and easy.

Ricky Hatton had to cut massive amounts of weight in his Boxing days from what I could tell. If I had to guess he was dropped from at least 180 back to 140 in between almost every fight, and there were probably fights when he was coming from 200 or more back down to 140 or 147.

But that was because he was fat. It wasn't that he was trying to drain a naturally big guy into a weight class that wasn't natural to him. Hatton was a big LWW, but a small WW. A true drainer is somebody who should be fighting at least a weight class above but somehow boils himself down to have advantages over little guys.

I've seen Selby walking around a few times as we're from a similar area - 10 stone doesn't sound too far off tbh.

They didn't know his exact weight but they were sparring in the gym he was in and it shocked them how big he was.
