It's been popular sport to bash Hatton over the years so I usually refrain but fornicate it, I thinks
The guys a dick so... I know a few folk who stay in Tenerife and Hattons rep is terrible over there. He scrounges drinks and will pester birds with the immortal line "do you know who I am". I've heard of him having some second prizes when his crap hasn't went down too well. I've never been a fan of his, the whole man of the people act never seemed to fit. This recent debacle could be a severe one for him. Hopefully the kick up the arse he needs to get his life on a positive track.

I know Ricky well over many years, he certainly hasn't ever said "don't you know who I am" when I've been with him, quite the opposite, he's happy to enjoy himself respectfully with his mates. Girls approach him constantly so why would he bother them like that? If anything he has shown considerable restraint at times when drunken idiots think it's ok to take the pxxx. Give the guy a break and don't believe everything in newspapers.

Guys please be careful with what you say here. Please do not post potentially defamatory remarks. Remember this is merely an allegation, Ricky has not been found guilty of it :TU:

Now way Hatton would do that over a joke, if it did happen which I doubt, it would be for something a lot more serious.

i know growing up around drinkers, you have got to watch what you say, especially when people are on hard times ,a joke to you might not be a joke to some one else , and if your not with that group you have to be carefu,l any words could easily be seen as an insult

Massive hatton fan. Not sure how much truth is in the story. But hes not doing himself any favours with his lifestyle and friends by the sounds of things. Needs to concentrate his time on training his fighters etc. Allright people saying hes earned the right to go out and enjoy himself after a hard career. But rickys got loads of oppertunities out there for him. That most people spending their days in pubs up and down the country dont have.

Turning into the opposite of what he tried to sell himself as throughout his career. Ashame if he goes down that road...cause he was great for british boxing and a decent lad to boot. Been going downhill since he called time after the pacman fight tho.

The cheap schmuck making the allegations goes to the Sun and poses for a series of ludicrous pictures ffs.

Expect this to disappear quickly with all charges dropped.

I've met Ricky loads of times and friends have spent a lot of time with him abroad and he's been brilliant. Unless the break up has hit him hard, it seems very out of character.

I met Hatton in a bar in Tenerife a few years back and even though he had a few drinks in him, he was happy to chat away to us and pose for a few pics. A few of the lads he was with were a little bit full of themselves but didn't seem to be any trouble.

Yep, and the same comment one day could be taken very differently on another day.

There are too many if these type of stories going about for there not to be some kind of truth element in there.

Getting pissed and talking bollox all night to strangers sounds a bit sad after a while

I've met him and he was taking the pi$$ out of himself so I can't see him going all Tarantino on some John doh over a joke. Either it didn't happen or there is a lot more to the story.

Met him in Lanzarote with the Upton brothers, he was clearly pissed out of his head in the middle of the day but was happily posing for pictures with kids and fans if asked. The guy clearly has issues with drink though, such a shame as he's top character and a legend.

The Upton's seemed to idiots though.
