Who is the best current HW ? Joshua or Fury ? Klitschko, Haye or Ortiz ? What do you think ? Without nationalistic/racistic trolling, please !

Fury, but judgement reserved until he beats or doesn't beat Klitschko.

Joshua (I hope but have doubts) is the future. Ortiz is the Unknown quality. I quite like Parker as well, but I think he's too small.

If there's a problem with Parker, it's his defense, not his size. He's 6'4" and 230+ lb - basically an inch short of a young Riddick Bowe or Lennox Lewis. His reach is short for a tall heavyweight, but he makes up for that by having very fast hands for the division.

That's easy to answer. TBD. Anyone that says there is a clear best of the heavyweights is dreaming.

It is a sad state where of the HW division where there is not one credible prospect. Ortiz too old, Joshua shows potential but seems like his team knows something they dont want us to see, Fury would be a continuation of the ZZzzzzzzzz we have had with Klitchko, Let hope we are wrong and all these fighters bring in a new era of competitive big man for the good of this beautiful sport.

Fury.

Joshua hasn't beaten anyone in the top 15 yet (and that's being generous).

1 Fury
2 Klitschko
3 Povetkin
4 Wilder (maybe)
5 Ortiz (maybe).

The top 3 at this stage I don't see a debate.

1.Joshua
2.Fury
3. Parker

Wlad has seen his best days. I'll change my mind IF he wins the rematch.

Ortiz and Haye seem to be part time fighters and for whatever reasons don't get anything consistent going.

Wilder is injury prone and needs to beat Povetkin before he makes my list. I'm an American Wilder fan...but just sayn'....

Tyson Fury has to be considered #1. He dominated Wladimir Klitschko, who seemed to still be in prime condition. How many top 10 ATG heavyweights got dominated while they were still in their primes? George Foreman steamrolled Joe Frazier; but all-in-all, it is a very rare happening. Tyson Fury may look like crap, but he's pretty much a god. He was still quite flawed 3.5 years ago when he fought Cunningham; but ever since approximately the Chisora fight 2 years ago, he's been unhittable and perfect. As good as Anthony Joshua appears to be, he still hasn't fought anyone as good as Dereck Chisora, Steve Cunningham, or the god Wladimir Klitschko.

For me it's either Anthony Joshua, or Tyson Fury.

Wilder is currently at the level of Jun Long Zhang.
Ortiz, Povetkin and Parker are about the same level, despite Parker and Ortiz have a completely different style, which makes close near anything possible, a UD win for Parker, as well as an early KO for Ortiz.

Then we have Wladimir, who's clearly declining, even if you look back at his latest few fights before Fury, he was clearly beïng less dominant as he used to be, every fight getting worse.

At this moment in time, the top 5 in no particular order are Fury, Wlad, Povetkin, Wilder and Ortiz. This is based on ability and resume. No one with the slightest shred of objectivity would deny this.

However, if Joshua fights Pulev in November and beats him, I'd definitely put him in there. If he beats Parker or Stiverne, then a strong argument can be made.

As for who is THE best, the jury is still out. Fury is definitely the number one until he loses though, even if I'm far from a fan.

Sounds a little negative. Joshua is coming on quite fast. You don't want to go too fast like Leon Spinks or Pete Rademacher.

Agree on Ortiz. Fury has been in some good fights. Hopefully Fury-Wlad was a fluke.

Parker is a good prospect. A lot of fighters we call great today didn't always look flawless coming up.

Big Baby Miller is at the least fun to watch. Hugh Fury has some boxing ability etc

Fury. He's the champ, he beat the man. No argument against him yet. Joshua and Wilder need big wins over quality fighters before they can be considered in the argument.
Ortiz? He's almost mythical at this stage. Has beaten nobody and has taken too long to become relevant. He'll likely be way past his best if and when he fights for a title. Ustinov is poor and will tell us nothing.

Wilder, Joshua or anyone else is fine for the conversation. Fury has to be ranked #1, that doesn't make him the best.

Very easy.

#1 Fury. Outbox The Man.

#2 Klitchko. Till his expected retirement. Outbox all the guys out where.

#3/4 Wilder&Joshua. Josahua looks better, but I'll really want to watch both in the ring

That's all.

Povetkin is old, short and boring. His last unfixed fight was back at 2013, when aging Klichko wiped his ass with him. Povetkin's team was smart enough not to let him meet Wlad for years...for very good reasons.

Ortiz? It's great mystery to me how very average amateur boxer, with almost empty pro record crowned at this forum :brick:

But what has Wilder done to put him in the top 5? Begging to a drugsaddict like Arreola if he please wants to give up because Wilder couldn't continue? Winning against a fight against a teacher who clearly teached him a lesson in the beginning? Winning against a boxer who had a losing record against guys that were actually known by wikipedia? Winning (but not even dominating) against a hooligan from Poland who's probably not even the best of Poland itself? Winning against a dehydrated guy who already lost against a guy with a losing record and has never won against any European at all?

Surprised at so many people saying Joshua.

I guess KOing a bunch of D-Level bums with padded records is impressive to some.
