Billy Joe Saunders already on a flight out of the country

Post by TheLeprechaun »

Won't be hearing from BJS for a while I'd say. He will go missing after that performance from Golovkin.

On a serious note, does BJS have a remote chance vs Triple G?

Golovkin was nothing special.

Saunders won't be bothered by that.

I don't think BJS is strong enough to be honest, anyway he wouldn't take the fight in the first place, old fish eyes won't allow it.

No...he didn't even deserve the decision against Andy Lee IMO

If he actually left the country that'd probably be a good sign for him fighting GGG, didn't he train abroad to fight Andy Lee?

I think Brook's chances were better than BJS's.

I could see Saunders winning early rounds but I don't think he has any hope of the KO, and his stamina problems give him issues winning on points, or even making it the distance.

I can see the Saunders fight playing out like the Munroe jnr fight. Saunders moving a lot but not having anywhere near the power needed to keep GGG at bay and inevitably getting walked down.

If Saunders could sort his stamina out (big if) then he could give Golovkin a lot of trouble.

How willing would Saunders be to plant his feet and throw in combo at GGG?

Why should he be? He’s a boxer ffs. It’s the job that he chose.
Come off the fence Leprechaun, either he’s left the country followed by “does he have a chance?”. That’s a big shift in position in two sentences.
Saunders needs more gas because Gennady is fitter, by far based on what I’ve seen, and Saunders would not appear to possess enough of a deterrent.

Saunders doesn't hit hard enough. Golovkin would just straight up chase him around the ring and there's only so long he could run for.

That would be a pretty intriguing fight actually. I think Brook would be better served going to 154 though.

Is being inactive for a year the best preparation for a Golovkin fight?

Surely Saunders and Eubank have unfinished business between themselves.
Admittedly the loser would have only dubious claim to a Golovkin fight, but both would be on the thin end of the wedge anyway....Against each other they would do a couple of hundred grand each I’d have thought.

Saunders is a scumbag I think. He just comes across as a thoroughly unpleasant character. Has Eubank jnr tweeted anything out yet?

He wouldn't tweet that if he had any intention of fighting him.

I'd enjoy seeing GGG kick Saunders ass.

BJS is a scumbag....I was happy when he beat Eubank but I would gladly cheer for Jr. in a rematch.

Jr. tweeted something about his corner not having towels.

BJS is taylor made for GGG. BJS would lose every second of every round, before leaving for the hospital.

Ah the same old bs both Saunders and Eubank jnr tend to put out when they don't actually have to fight him.

On a sidenote- did anyone think Brook looked terrified in the dressing room and on the way to the ring tonight? I mean I don't blame him fighting Golovkin but he put up a gallant effort anyway.
