You do realize Hatotn avoided Judah at 140 don't you? Judah said, "I'll coime to Manchester and KO Richy Hatton". Hatton kept his mouth shut.

I bet Judah went looking for someone named Ricky Hatton in Manchester, New Hampshire, USA.

Please tell me you've had the pleasure of hearing Judah in a press conference...that guy must be on a 4th grade reading level. 10 bucks not only does he not know which Manchester Hatton is near, but he also probably won't know where England is on the map.

Judah hasn't fought at 140 since 2003 when Hatton was still fighting the Ben Tackies of the world.

Said weeks ago it would be Rabah, talk of the other two is that and that only , even mentioning them is just to get Rabah to take what he's offered and not relize his own worth, to a camp who dont want a live opponent.

Just hope that Rabahs camp are not too ametuerish and fight for fack all

If Hatton fights Gatti or Diaz next, you can bet your eye teeth he will come in for heavy criticism on this board.

I've been saying for ages that blaming Warren for Hatton's level of opposition prior to the Tszyu fight is naive.

I'll let him away with this one but after that, he'd better start proving his standing as a champ by facing decent opponents.

Out of the 3 shortliosted i would rather see Hatton fight Collazo, but boxrec has him scheduled to fight Urkal :x

Reason i think Collazo would be the better fight is that it would be at welterweight & if Hatton wants Cotto or PBFhe's gottta move up sometime, if Hatton won then he'd be Welterweight WBA champ, no lose situation if ya ask me.

How many does he get away with though? He fought Maussa, who scored a freak win over Harris, to get the WBA belt, and now he's following that up with a fight vs Rabah...that's an absolute joke. He's already turning in to RJJ at 27, fighting nothing but shitty mandatories.

Cannibal: Floyd should be ashamed of himself for fighting human punch bags like Gatti.

2 years later

Hatton: I want a Gatti fight.

I never used a word as strong as a ashamed though I did use the punching bag comment :D

I also said that I would criticise Hatton if he took a Gatti fight and I would but he still hasn't taken a Gatti fight, him talking about one thing and doing it are completely different things. Hatton has been linked with 20 different names over the past month and it will continue into his next fight as well but yes it was always known that he wanted to fight Gatti, this is not new information. His next fight will most likely be the winner of the Gatti/Baldomir fight. What are you expecting me to say? I said I'd criticise him if the fight was made but it hasn't been made yet so I will hold off on any such criticism.

first of all anyone who thinks hatton would be at all troubled by zab is just foolish. hatton would retire the guy. of this i have never been more certain of a boxing match up.
next - allegedly must be laughing his clogs off. theres no way that the barriers to a better fight that hattons camp are talking about would have prevented him from making a decent american debut for ricky.
this is very disappointing stuff from team hatton, their inexperience/ability in securing big fights is now clear. give warren his due he has some clout in the USA.
those who still want a hatton - witter dust up are dreaming. this will only ever happen when ricky needs it. he doesnt like junior thats very clear so why give the guy a shot that he does not deserve? have you seen witters last few fights? hatton would coast it.
back to the matter in hand - ricky hatton has wasted too much time already in his career (sorry to repeat this) he's 18 months behind where he should be but i will allow him this lapse one final time before getting on his case big time.

I would favour Judah over Hatton, Judahs far faster, hits harder, would give Ricky movement problems and is more skilled than Hatton when he applys himself. Obviously Ricky could outwork him or KO him if he has careless moments. Judahs been fighting at a higher level than Hatton (other than the Zoo fight). He fucked up against Baldomir but Judahs resume other than a couple of cockups is quality and he has true P4P potential. I think he has the potential to upset PBF

mister, you are welcome to your opinion but let me answer you
1 judah aint fast enough (tzsyu aint fast but caught up with zab easily)
2 judah dont hit hard enough (tzsyu hits hard)
3. hattons got good movement (good enough to get to zab anyway)
4. hattons got very underated skill.

what about heart and will to win?
what about pressure fighting?
what about very discouraging body shots? (hatton is one of the worlds best body punchers)

judahs resume tells me that he's an overated big mouth. has never had true p4p quality in the ring but is a master of making some of us believe that he does. its all hype and now its beginning to smell a bit off.
hatton breaks up zab without working up a sweat.

Tell me one thing, if Hatton is serious about slipping past Mayweather last year for "exposure" fights, why did he decline the DLH-Mayorga undercard? An Oscar PPV is just about as sure a thing as you can get in boxing.

How can be still have the face to call himself "THE MAN" after admitting he isn't ready for Mayweather? "THE MAN" takes on the toughest challengers, whoever they may be, and DOMINATES. He knows he had luck on his side versus Tszyu.

mayweather has moved up in weight and hatton's next fight will be at 140. if mayweather wanted to really force the issue, he should have stayed at 140 and taken on his no1 mandatory junior witter.

there was no luck involved against tszyu. tszyu was not a shot fighter and he proved it against sharmba mitchell.

i guarantee tszyu would beat all the notable contenders in and around the 140 pound division if he came back. :TU:

Well said. Judah has always been a hype job, every time he steps it up he gets beat, first by Tszyu, then Spinks, now by bloody Baldomir! Next he is going to get embarrassed by Mayweather.

Judah beat Spinks twice (something Mayorga couldn't), something tells me you missed that 1 James. Judahs list of top class opponents is very good but theres no point digging it up because you own't bother to pay it attention.

Judah hits as hard as Zoo has a better range of punches, far more speed, YES Zoo can catch up to Judah and KO him BUT Hatton doesnt have near the 1 punch KO Zoo has. I think Judah could beat Zoo in a rematch. Styles make fights and Team Hatton turned down Judah for whatever reason.

Even if Mayweather does embarass Judah so what at least Judahs fighting him, Hatton may be embarassed by Mayweather(as may anyone around the weight) but we won't find out will we
