Both parties seem up for it. :box:

Presumably Browne would have to face Fres Oquendo first.

Let's see if Briggs will get the fight, I very much doubt it, but ok. Browne seems to me like a fair guy, I can't wait for this fight to happen actually. I'm surprised to see that that bum called Haye ducking Briggs, turned out to be a good thing and I'll laugh my ass of if it later turns out Briggs and Browne made a deal just to help Briggs getting the Haye fight.

Two big, slow, power punchers?

I'd watch that.

Don't tease me.

This fight is as likely as Kate Upton coming over in lingerie and saying, "Hey Tony lets Party."

As terrible as Briggs is, this is actually a winnable fight for him, as Browne is slow and hittable, so Briggs would have a real chance at a KO. That said, Browne would be a deserving favourite - he has much better ring coverage and stamina than Briggs at this point, so it would be in his interest to turn it into a boxing match and make Briggs go rounds.

I want Briggs drug tested first. Why isn't that roid raged brain damaged guy fighting phony David Haye like he was supposed to?

Because daffy ducks him, Daffy lied to his own fans and made a lot of money thanks to Briggs.

Daffy duck ha ha! Haye knows his two comeback fights were nothing but phony paid dives. He hasn't had areal fight since he beat Chisora and he doesn't fancy getting in the ring with a huge roided up maniac.

I love this fight, if it happens and is in Australia, I'm going. Big Daddy wins this, he is deceptively slow, but it will be bags of fun, and the age difference isn't ridiculous, either.

It is Browne vs Oquendo next. Unless Oquendo declines it.

Exactly:

And Briggs probably hasn't even taken any roids.

1. What shows that he is brain damaged? He speaks coherently and has his head on his shoulders.

2. Haye is obviously ducking Briggs.

Shannon's stamina is better than many would say. The guy is working hard day in and day out, and is in better shape than he was 10 years ago. Do you all pay attention to social media at all? Since his comeback he has been working hard to get back to the top of the food chain.

I think a lot of people on Boxrec are still stuck in 2006.

The correspondence between Browne and Briggs was with a view to Browne sparring him in the lead-up to fighting Oquendo. Browne is also looking to spar with Tarver.

If the Browne v Oquendo match doesn't happen for whatever reason maybe Browne v Briggs could be a possiblity.
I wonder what David Haye would think of that!

1. Bizarre behavior, personality totally changed after his beating by Vitali.

2. Agree. As I said, Haye hasn't had a real fight since Chisora. He knows just what his two comeback "fights" really were.

I'd like to see it. Browne would kick Briggs' ass I figure. I'd be surprised to see Briggs take the fight actually. He only wants a big payday, and doesn't really want to fight any somewhat dangerous contenders to earn his payday. Maybe he really thinks he'd beat Browne.

Briggs could be dangerous for a round until he gases out. He's never won a big fight. Liakhovich, ahead on all cards, deliberately stuck his jaw out so he could get knocked out in the final round. It was a dive. His best win was a narrow decision over George Foreman in Foreman's final fight, and that was 19 years ago. But this is a time when big money fights can get made by guys whose main qualification is a big mouth.

While we're talking about intriguing HW fights that will likely never happen, I'd like to see how Big Baby Miller would do against someone like Helenius or Pulev.

The Klitschko fight was probably the last time he was relevant for his skill. Briggs realized that he can't get by on skill anymore, so he has to make a scene and get publicity if he is going to get a big money fight again. Same strategy that Tyson used at the end of his career. Although I think Tyson was still a better fighter in his twilight than Briggs is. As for whoever said his best fight was against Foreman, Foreman should've got the decision, not Briggs. Briggs did very little and was afraid to engage Foreman. If anything, Briggs best moment was against Lewis because, even though he got stopped, he put up a much more valiant effort than he did against Foreman.

David Haye will probably replace Luis Ortiz in the WBA’s tournament, by facing Alexander Ustinov next... and a victory will earn him the right to have the choice to fight the winner of October’s Fury-Klitschko rematch or the victor from December's Browne-Oquendo bout.

Shannon Briggs is a member of the proverbial “who-needs-you” club, because defeating him doesn’t provide a shot at the world title, it doesn’t gain any credibility amongst those involved in the sport and taking a fight against this elderly attention-seeking social media whóre doesn’t offer very much financial reward either.

Four words describe David Haye’s opinion of Shannon Briggs… “bigger fish to fry”
