That sounds about right. Tate couldn't take a great shot and Quarry keeps punching.

I'm here to take BadKatt's money.

Will that be check or cash?

Up until round 15 against Weaver, I would pick Tate. He was the never the same after that.

Yep, totally agree my friend.
Tate is the perfect example of a fighter being completely ruined by a KO loss.
Of course, his people really compounded his troubles by throwing him into a tough fight so soon after Weaver knocked him out. There's just no way that his brain had healed from that sort of a concussive injury he suffered in March. No way.
But, his people were old school & put him in tough in June. Which, when you include the six-eight weeks of sparring in prep for Berbick means he was actually taking shots to the head as early as April. Ludicrous. It's fairly impressive that he even went into the ninth round before being blasted out. Had he been in with a bigger puncher he probably would have been KO'd even earlier. But, Berbick while a very strong, awkwardly effective heavyweight was probably only about a six on a scale of ten.
Tate recovered enough to go on a pretty long winning streak against stiffs & journeymen, but was never again really in contention. And that came to an end with a points loss to a very average fighter in England.

Oh, Quarry?
15 rounds with both men at their very best?
Tate's educated jab & size might have been an issue for Jerry, but I think he'd eventually wear Tate down enough to KO him somewhere around the 11th to 13th round.

It would be a competitive fight early on, but Tate would pull away from Quarry late, winning a 10-5 decision.

Too big, tall, strong, and fast for Quarry... At least before he fought Mike Weaver... After that fight Quarry beats Tate easy... That was destruction
