The only opponent Spong has fought who had fought at a level to have any pts on the Boxrec system was a cruiserweight, Price's last win was better than anyone Spong has fought.

Rahman happened because Lewis fannied about with his film cameo and didn't acclimatise to the altitude in time. He respected and beat Tua.

That said, I'd like to see Joshua-Price on the off-chance that Price lands.

Because the better guys avoid him, for obvious reasons. I think he has potential, somehow I expect the better boxers realise this as well.

Joshua has fought unimpressive opposition but for 17 fights it isn't bad. If he fights a top 10 guy next and wins he'll have proven he's easily world level.

Price on the other hand, was once British level. He's yet to prove he's still even at that level. So the fact that he acts as if he's a world class fighter is beyond laughable and is further evidence that's he's the most deluded boxer out there.

Are you talking about the domestic top 10 or the world top 10?

Why should Price fight someone in the world's top 10 when Joshua hasn't?
Joshua, who I would have considered a European level guy in the 1980s well below a gary mason, nearer a Derek Williams level but with good promotion and easier foes in this day and age......has beaten breazle who was having his arse handed to him by a 40something who got injured....Charles who was pathetic .....and a fat slob nobody in dillian.....Price is even worse...he got arsseholed by a 42 year old tony Thompson than thumped in 1 by a turk....

I can understand under adam smiths SKY set up......this kind of domestic fight will be hyped to the skies and will fufill the need to provide Joshua with easy fights....but it is shamefully inept marketing and bullsshit that is synonomous with adam smiths tenure at sky.......no doubt it will be sold as a grudge fight!

AJ would almost certainly flatten Price, which would prove nothing. Joshua is solid top ten (world) but I consider him nothing more than the most paper thin of paper champions...

Chisora might not even be Top 30. He's certainly not Top 20. His best performance is a fight where he got robbed against Robert Helenius. Helenius isn't Top 15 anymore either.

haye should probably be higher because of past glories, but that's a fair list.

I don't see how AJ V price is competitive.

Lucas Browne was in my rankings until the whole steroids controversy. If he wins another fight, he'll re-enter my rankings. Ustinov doesn't belong over any of the names I have on there IMO.

That being said if he manages to talk himself in to a fight then fair play to him. It seems to be the way things are done nowadays. It's frustrating and I don't agree with it but hey ho! Hearn will have a job trying to sell that pish as PPV!
Price doesn't deserve a world title shot, but he does deserve a shot at Joshua.

Joshua is not a credible world champion at all and Price would arguably be his best opponent so far.
to be honest if Price did face AJ it would be his hardest fight, but I just want Price to beat some meaningful people domestically at top 10 level I understand he wiped out domestically few years ago but the scenes changed now

Dillian Whyte/Dave Allen/Chisora/Hughie Fury/Sam Sexton - if he beats any one of these convincingly I reckon that AJ bout should happen ASAP
So you lose the 3 fights that were a slight step up, then you beat Dave Allen and you get a world title shot against a guy who won the title from Charles Martin. christ the heavyweight division is in dire straits.

If Joshua is proven at only domestic level then one should ask Price at what level is he himself proven. Perhaps his bedroom level. AJ hasnt face world class opposition but his record is levels above Price's.

Joshua vs Pulev is far more interesting fight. And what happened to Price vs Parker?

Whyte and Ugonoh are too unproven IMO. I think it's fairly debatable, Chisora is a lot more proven than a lot of these people, but his limitations have also been shown mroe clearly. Personally I'd put Chisora in top 15.

Breazeale should probably be lower, top 20 maybe, but not that high IMO.

yeah I agree I am not saying Chisora is a world beater and a guaranteed top 10 but he put in some solid performances against Klit, Fury(one) and performance against Pulev wasn't horrible just very poor conditioning

If he beats Parker then he will deserve the Joshua fight and will be a mandatory.
Is anybody else really surprised by how keen Parkers team are to fight Price? From what Hearn has said it sounds like that fight is 100% on.

I mean, they're mandatory so they could just keep Parker warm with a couple of easy dust ups until the mandatory is called in November.

I was surprised at them fighting Dimitrenko in their current situation, never mind Price under 2 months later! They must be supremely confident, yes obviously Price is chinny but he's no mug.

I do like Parker from what I've seen, he did have bad moments in the fight against Takam and maybe that is why they are so keen to get him out in a couple more real dust ups before the mandatory is called.
