DeGale for me. I think he knows too much for Smith at this stage. I wouldn't say Smith has no chance but I favour DeGale right now.

DeGale. I don't get why Hearn puts on so many mismatched fights, though it took Callum a bit of time to win on Sunday, he'll have learnt absolutely nothing from that fight.
Hearn does it all the tiem as well, gets fighters into mandatory positions, then feeds them no hopers for a fight or 2 before they then have to step up to try and win a world title, makes no sense at all.

Voted DeGale....right now he's got a bit too much experience, technical nous and strength as well.
But if James went into that maddening coasting stuff he still does it could be a very tight fight.

Callum's definitely looming in the rear view mirror and more than a few of the SMW champs will be aware of his presence....but he needs a few more fights of note before going for DeGale. There's no hurry and his time will come.

Degale will just blow it by being lazy or admiring himself.

I think Callum just works a lot harder, and can really slam home body shots when he's on his A-game. If he was getting outfoxed I could see him grinding a win too.

Styles make fights and I see Smith being busy enough to capitalise when DeGale has his standard 4-5 rounds off.

I love watching Chunky when he's really flowing; the guy is absolute quality, but I will never bet on him, simply because he's capable of giving away almost any fight. Smith would put pressure on him, and I think that would draw a good performance from him, but you just can't be sure.

Callum Smith - DeGale seems to have got this mantle as #1 Super Middle, but for me hasn't been impressive at all in his world title fights (aside from his blistering start vs Dirrell).

degales got more tricks up his sleeve at this point but just switches off far too much to have any real faith in him, thought he was gonna blow the Bute fight at one point before he woke up again, then again smith hasn't had too many taxing puzzles to solve due to him bombing everyone out, so its a "pick em" fight for me

Smith. Too big, too strong and most importantly too active for Degale. I don't think he stops him but Smith can easily win 2 or 3 rounds off Degale even when Degale is switched on. Add 5 or 6 rounds when Degale stops working and has his little quiet spells and Smith can win by 3 or 4 rounds.

It would take one of Degale career best performances to out point Callum.

Yeah I thought that was the case. They're pretty much the same age so in the amateur days I'm sure they spent a lot of time together.
