He lasted more rounds, but Khan actually won some. Smith lost 'em all.

Seriously that was man against boy. No disrespect to liam but the gulf in class was massive. No comparison to khan who did actually test canelo to an extent.

Canelo could have finished that in the first if he wanted to. Live underdog against golovkin.

I reckon September 16th weekend NEXT year. They want GGG to age a bit more.

I doubt they'll fight GGG even when he qualifies for a free bus pass.

I came to America 20 years ago with a strong, fast, South London accent. No one could understand me.

Liam just had the quickest interview in the History of HBO Boxing

Canelo has shit fans. Booing Smith after he's put in a good performance. Way to stay classy.

Hope GGG KO's him in a round. Won't happen, Canyellow will keep ducking.

Will FW be criticised the Hearn , throwing his fighter into an unwinnable fight away from home? Or will h be congratulated for securing a big money fight on the great stage, risking one of his champs giving him the opportunity to test himself against the best out there.

One thing that stands out when watching Smith fight (which I think another poster alluded to somewhere) is that Liam likes to fight with that high guard but yet his arms don't look long enough to protect his body and his elbows don't look tucked either.

He looks wide open to body shots and Canelo does throw wicked body shots alongside some lovely uppercuts.

Young Liam showed a lot of guts there - that last body shot would have snapped a lamppost into two.

A gutsy performance, brave, he should be proud of his achievements tonight.

Liam had a better chance as he was the same size as Canelo and nowhere near as likely to get hurt.

that was hard to watch . liam was tough as nails , but nothing he had troubled canelo . looks like he got busted up pretty bad as well. at light middle canelo looks a proper unit and the pace he fought at suggests the weight doesn't take it out of him as much as some think .

Judging by the last two interviews in Smiths previous fights if Frank didn't make a big fight for him he was going to leave.
