Although I will say that the other man listed, Pietro Aurino, is a very credible opponent. 8)

DeLisle is a decent opponent, He takes a beating and keeps coming. Green absolutley destroyed him in 5 rounds but Delisle was still standing toe to toe until the third knock down.

no one needs to see woods-delisle or woods-gonzalez again, but a third outing with Glen Johnson is more than welcome. in the meantime a guy like aurino would suffice, but he could make Clinton look bad, being an awkward southpaw with good counter punching skills.

i don't know if Aurino would want to come over to the UK again. if i remember correctly, he was KO'd by a Johnny Nelson headbutt. but he probably wouldn't turn down a world title fight

The only reason i can see Woods wanting a Delisle fight is to see if he can put in a better performance than he did 2 years ago, maybe use delisle as a measuring stick to show how far Clinton has progressed in the last 2 years.

But yeah i'd rather see him fight the Italian guy then go for a 3rd fight with Johnson.

Woods should do anything to make a Johnson fight, that is a far better measuring stick of his progress than a guy he has beaten already. If he has improved as much as it seems he has he has a very good chance against Johnson.

My understanding was that Clinton wanted a warm up fight before he fought Johnson again, i remember hearing him say that he wouldn't like to fight Johnson after being out of the ring for awhile & Clintons last fight was in September so if he wants to fight in May that will be 8 month out of the ring. I dont think we'll see Woods - Johnson 3 till maybe Sept/Oct /Nov time later this year.

Yeah as a voluntary defence why not, I'm not saying he should be the IBFs Mandatory number 1 but a good enough challenger for Clinton to take before another top name.

I disagree, to say the least. The man isnt even top 30 material at LHW, he should build his way back to contention.
