I am a huge 3G fan, although I am of the opinion that he has peaked, and I voted that he is the recipient of the greatest critical mass of nut-huggery.

I also really like GingerHead, but if not for his recent quackery I would have voted for him.

I liked Canelo until 2 weeks after the Khan fight when he dropped the belt. Now he's among the most despised active boxers for me. If he fights Golovkin next year, win or lose I'll respect him again. If he doesn't. I'll be rooting for him to get his face caved in for the rest of his career.

I wouldn't say I hate any Boxer. I don't know any of 'em personally, but there's definitely a fair share of 'em that strike me as douchebags or otherwise sorry human beings, and I root against them every time. There's also some dudes that I root against because they're never exciting to watch.

The casuals on my facebook feed might as well deepthroat him. I can't wait for him to get knocked out.

That's why I voted 3G. WKlit and GingerHead have developed massive hater-bases.

Hitman Jr. (Crawford) is earning quite a nut-huggery legion. Spence is right behind him. Neither compare to 3G though.

Not here, and this is pretty much the extent of my Boxing conversations. My friends don't watch it anymore.

Only based on my personal experience it is currently Golovkin and Wlad by a long way. Wlad less so since the Fury fight but before that it was almost as if a quite tall guy with a decent jab, an excellent but underused right hand, a very good but once-in-a-blue-moon long left hook could never lose to anyone ever if you listened to some on here, no matter what obvious technical limitations he has or his punch-resistance issues.

None of the other names on the list get fantasy-matched against ATGs as often as GGG gets put in with Hagler, Monzon etc. And the way people talk you'd think no-one smaller than a cruiserweight could ever hurt him with a punch. He is my favourite current fighter too guys but come on.

Recent retiree Floyd Mayweather would be up there too if he fights again. And of course Pacquiao, before JMM IV (probably more so before JMM III to be honest).

Joshua is more hyped than hugged at the minute, but he is catching up.

Wilder and D. Garcia have some defensive fans but are nothing close to the most "nut-hugged" out there.

Kovalev, Loma, Crawford and Gonzalez are just highly rated because of their styles and their demonstrable in-ring successes. People are just excited to see their careers, think they are very good and that they'll continue to do well. I don't see much nut-hugging of any of them.

I'm sure Canelo has lots of over-rabid fans but I honestly have never run into very many. Maybe some of the people who're suspiciously over-critical of GGG are closet Canelophiles I dunno.

Spence has an over-inflated rep bit is just another one that people are excited about I think.

If he just said he thought he was two young or didn't feel ready for GGG I'd respect that much more. Right now to redeem himself he needs to fight GGG soon, else it could really tarnish his legacy.

If he said he was too young and not ready for GGG I'd have sh*t on him just as hard. He's 26 years old. He's got 50 fights experience or damn near it. He's in his prime. He's as ready for anybody as he's ever gonna be.

I have been a big fan of Canelo for years. But I'm not happy about the current situation, even though most of his supporters are trying to pretend it isn't happening.

None of the above. It's Pacquiao. He's all the Philippines has for sports stars.

Guilty as charged, for failure to remember that Pac feinted retirement. He should have been included in the poll.

Andre Ward is most nut hugged... The most coddled anyway if that's what you mean... He gets to fight who he wants, when he wants, where he wants.. Three tune-ups at 175.. Roman Gonzales and Canelo Alvarez are contending... They get everything their way... Gonzalez took a lot of punishment in his last fight and I scored it for his far lessor known opponent. I thought the scorecards were a travesty. Chocolatito is a great fighter, but he was stung by criticism after his previous lackluster fight.. He left his jab at home and tried to pressure, overpower, and stop a bigger, stronger man... It didn't work that well... Alvarez also gets gift votes from judges -- about like De La Hoya did versus Floyd and Sturm... Oscar was the most coddled fighter of his generation and he's turning Alvarez into the most coddled of this generation.

Joshua isn't coddled... He was pushed into a World Title Fight way too early... If anything, Parker is being coddled and steered away from Joshua... As far as fans and sports writers going over-the-top with their nut-hugging praise??? -- Would you rather be the most acclaimed boxer or the least acclaimed???

Appreciate your two cents but "Oscar was the most coddled fighter of his generation" is utter crap. ODLH may piss me off these days but he fought everyone over a very long period of time beginning very early. He also gave FMJ and Pac their boosts to superstar status when he could have fought the Bertos and Maidanas of the generation instead. Oscar was at the bitter end of decisions too, btw.

Oscar never was on the bitter end of decisions as bad as Sturm or Whitaker. Though he did beat tito and I thought he won the second Shane fight. 2-2 in bad decisions.

Oscar was coddled more than any boxer on Earth... He refused to do the Trinidad rematch, which was a super hot fight... He refused to do the Mosley rematch for several years and that was also a super hot fight.. He lost both of those fights so you would think he'd try to redeem himself.. He waited for years until Mosley had a 3-fight winless streak going.. He refused to fight Wink Wright AT ANYTIME when they were both 154-pound World Champions.. He fought Yory Boy Campas instead of Wright in another no-risk fight.. like most of his fights..

It's still early days but if it continues like it has then Connor Benn will be a candidate for this list. Not only has his debut fights been broadcast on popular cards with thousands in attendance plus he's been given multiple post fight media. He has been fed opponents that have acceptedwith less than a weeks notice just as they accepted loosing prior to the fight. They are trying to make him a superstar quick smart.

That was my point. Kalan only acknowledged one side.

Pac
Forbes
FMJ 37-0
BHop
Sturm 20-0
SSM x2 first fight 34-0
Vargas
Gatti
Tito 35-0
Quartey 34-0-1
JCC x2
Camacho
Sweet Pea
Miguel Angel Gonzalez 41-0
Jesse James Leija
Genaro Hernandez 32-0-1

Who can touch that lineup? Most coddled? Absolute horsesh!t.
