Exactly. Usyk just got 10 fights, and there is a lot of high quality opponents at CW.

I'd want to see Usyk stick around at Cruiserweight for a little while, and if he someday moves up to Heavyweight I'd like to see him ease his way into the division with a few fights before he goes up against the Joshua's and all that of the world. He's skilled enough, but that's a pretty massive size disadvantage he's gonna have to deal with.

I mean I wouldn't go that far the bigger challenges and more meaningful wins would definitely be at Heavyweight, but there's still good fights to be made at Cruiserweight. I don't know if the other Cruiserweight titleholders would be too eager to fight at the display against Glowacki, but I'd definitely like to see him fight Lebedev, Bellew or Huck before we start talking about moving up to Heavyweight for him. He has potential to be one of the ATG Cruiserweights though, and there's a lot of interesting matchups right now to be made there.

Nowadays heavyweights have a weight of 240/250 pounss, back in those days they were 210 ish.
Haye wasn't even a real champ, in my opinion, a prime Haye showed a worser performance as a 46 year Holyfield against the same opponend and Haye even met that same opponend in a worser condition.

Holyfield got beaten up by a much bigger, taller Bowe who couldn't box worth a lick.. Young could box well, but couldn't punch.. He didn't win any world titles and got beaten a lot... Ali didn't have any much bigger or much more powerful opponents to face... Frazier had ZERO chances when he fought a big, tall, powerhouse Heavyweight... Haye won a couple rounds from Wlad, but couldn't threaten to win... None of those Cruiserweights faced anybody with the skills, speed, power, and versatility of Joshua. AJ would knock Usyk stiff if he made such a move because AJ is a great puncher even for his size.

It's Michael Spinks trying to fight Mike Tyson... MS fought very well vs Larry Holmes -- but even Spinks knew he was bringing a knife to a gun fight vs Tyson.. A lighter fighter can have success moving up -- but he best scope out the competition to avoid any big, tall, rock solid boxer-punchers such as AJ.

Pulev has been around awhile and I always say give the shot to the veteran as he won't be around forever. I think Parker needs time to mature. Povetkin may be fighting Stiverne.

AJ would be too far, but I think Usyk may well be capable of beating guys like Parker, Pulev, and Stiverne.

That said, there are interesting fights at CW and I'd like him to stick around there for a while and establish himself as the man of the division. If he can get the right fights I think he has a good chance of becoming the #2 all-time cruiserweight behind Holyfield.

Joshua vs Usyk doesn't not seem like a particularly good usage of these fighters.
I would prefer to see Usyk fight Lebedev, to solidify his claim to divisional supremacy. If Usyk beat Lebedev, I wouldn't even particularly hate it if he continued fighting other good cruiserweights like Breidis and Bellew before he considered a heavyweight run.
I would like Anthony Joshua to pick-up one final win against a second-tier middling contender like Stiverne, Takam, Chisora, or Jennings before he battles Fury / Klitschko / Wilder / Ortiz / Povetkin / Pulev / Parker. That way, he would be less of a question mark going into such a showdown and the result would be more meaningful. Of course, in an ideal world, the Stiverne / Takam etc. opponent would have completed an appropriate comeback trail before the Joshua fight by beating something like Artur Szpilka, Jarrell Miller, Gerald Washington, Malik Scott, Christian Hammer, etc..

Would like to see it.. not next year or even next 2-3 years. Usyk is a slim CW, he's not got a big build, he would be a small HW. I think he can unify the CW division and by time he's 33-34 he can make a jump up to HW, having more professional experience and maybe as time goes on he would have gained that bigger shape.

Not really. Usyk doesn't strike me as being special enough to compensate for the size difference. He's talented for sure, but he really isn't Holyfield! He's not a cruiser I look at and think he is big at the weight either. He has been a light heavy as an adult for example.

Pulev chins isn't soft, Wlad hits like a hammer. AJ hasn't been tested as yet. His only real test was White, which was a little worrying chin wise.

I really hope he's the next Klitschko or Lewis, but I can't help thinking Frank Bruno.

Parkers hand speed and power (I'll will give you defensively open) and Pulevs boxing pedigree will give AJ his biggest test. Then we will know how good he is.

Fans should lobby for those matchups... If the best were matched with the best on a continuing basis, those 7 Heavyweights represent 21 different matchups... Now, if you just throw out the 6 matchups where fans would have to watch Wladimir (because he doesn't really want to fight so much as he wants to hug you and hold you) we still have 15 great Heavyweight fights... Are there any good reasons boxing fans can't see them????
