Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
Assuming that both Fury and Joshua beat their next opponents: Who will make Haye the most money?
I assume that Haye is aiming for a big payday against someone.

Re: Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
Probably AJ.
There's more hype and publicity surrounding him.
But there is the potential to kick of a real grudge match with Fury and the built up could be explosive, which may drawn quite a bit of (mostly negative) press, which would sell that one too

Does anyone know what Joshua and his opponents have been paid? I've seen people refer to him as the biggest money maker in boxing (even though guys like Canelo and Pac pull in around $20m per fight), but I haven't seen much concrete info.

I doubt he's getting that kind of cheddar, but he will be soon.crusader wrote:Does anyone know what Joshua and his opponents have been paid? Probably Fury. Since they already got the built-in hostility from their "almost" fight from 4 years ago it'd basically be a grudge match. It'd go over very big in the U.K. I figure.
I don't care to see Haye in any big fight personally because I just don't have the confidence that he actually goes through with the fight without spraining his vagina.
I'd personally rather see him fight Joshua because Joshua has the better chance of knocking him out, and that would make me happy.

Re: Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
I'd say he earns more against Joshua as the money (tv, businesses etc) know they can rely on AJ to build up the fight. Plus there's the KAYO angle with Haye scoring 26 of them in 28 wins while Joshua is all knock outs as a pro.
Fury, on the other hand, is technically better but has a history of cancellations (mostly NOT is fault) & is also prone to say stupid b0ll0cks stuff that puts off many fans and sponsors.
But it will be interesting to see if Haye fights again soon (this year) or waits for a shot at the winner of Browne v Oquendo which means he won't get a bout til Easter or so & then won't fight either Joshua or Fury until this time next year - WHICH is when they are looking at Joshua v Wilder.
I'd say Haye needs to sort a fight out soon.

AJ as fight would be sky ppv.
The money surrounding a bout with Fury all depends on whether Fury beats Wlad again, thus cementing his position as undisputed HW champ, or loses and fights Haye in comeback. Realistically though Fury will never fight Haye, simply to avoid giving him a pay day

Joshua, because he draws the largest live crowd. He's also the most popular of the three.
Re: Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
Easy answer AJ as sky will be behind it with everything
Re: Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
More chance of beating Joshua, then gets the Fury fight too. Retires minted and laughs at all of us.

Joshua, no question.
Re: Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
Joshua, he's the biggest draw in British boxing right now.
Re: Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
Joshua makes him the most money, but only because of the Sky model.
However Haye v Fury would be a bigger spectacle because of the history and their personalities.

AJ. The sky PPV with the sky media freight train behind it is the biggest payday in the UK.
I'd say AJ makes more money against Haye. Fury has managed to alienate himself away from the public and boxing fans after his win over Wlad.
The rematch on paper should be huge but most can't be bothered to go due to ticket prices and the possibility of the fight falling through.
Fury-Wilder is a huge fight though. Personality wise they just click against each other.

Fury. Biggest British fight ever.Counter-puncher wrote:out of interest, do we think AJ makes more money against Haye, or Fury?

AJ. Bigger promotion and PPV. Would rather see the Fury fight though.
Re: Does Haye make more money against Fury or Joshua?
Joshua - all day every day. Fury just doesn't have that wider casual appeal due to not having had the hype in his career and his non-PC statements which scare off media and advertisers.

BTW, what is going on with David Haye?
After his last farce, he proudly announced that Shannon Briggs had talked himself into a 'superfight' (
) with Haye himself in September: we're in September & nothing. ![[icon_e_confused.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)

That's a tough one I think. Haye is a bigger draw than Fury I think. He's been getting 20k people to watch him fight the likes of De Mori.Counter-puncher wrote:out of interest, do we think AJ makes more money against Haye, or Fury?

complete no brainer. AJ is generating multiples of Fury at the moment.

I'm hearing Haye's shoulder ain't as good as expected. Maybe that's why the Briggs fight is off. Joshua-Haye is too big a fight for it not happen. Sky PPV. Fury-Haye may end up on allegedly.

What about Joshua vs Haye or Fury- who do you think he makes the most money against? You'd think Fury with all his belts and also his personality but Haye seems the more proven draw out of the two to me. Would possibly appeal more to the casuals aswell.Loynesy wrote:complete no brainer. AJ is generating multiples of Fury at the moment.

Aj all day long.
It would be a clash of north London v south, the old character v the new etc. It would have sky's media machine behind it, it would be PPV here, shown on showtime in the states.
You could probably put this on in anyone of the premier league stadiums within London and it would sell around 90% of tickets.
Sponsors would be fawning over 2 guys who are well versed in the media.
A fight with fury would see it sell the o2 or Manchester arena but not much bigger, sponsors would potentially run a mile after a fury press conference, tickets would be through the roof if the wlad fight is to go by, plus it would be on allegedly as fury won't work with hearn again, so not as much exposure.
Look at 2 recent fights, brook and smith. The media had brook everywhere for 3/4 days after the GGG fight, smith I bet barely anyone outside of hard core fans knew it was on

Silly question.
The casuals and pub boxing fans would spunk in there pants at Joshua v Haye.
