It will be the worst and easiest name on the list so Max Bursak.

Card doesn't happen
Re: Billy Joe Saunders (c) vs. ??? - October 29th 2016

Couldnt give a fvck any more. Losing interest in BJS completely now, if talking crap in stupid videos was an Olympic sport he would have won the gold medal

Re: Billy Joe Saunders (c) vs. ??? - October 29th 2016
I've heard Brant is the front-runner.
Re: Billy Joe Saunders (c) vs. ??? - October 29th 2016
Anyone apart from Eubank or Golovkin is a tough sell after all the shit that comes out of his mouth.
Re: Billy Joe Saunders (c) vs. ??? - October 29th 2016
I'm thinking the same. If it does go ahead it'll be the worst, cheapest name on the list! BJS talks about fighting GGG but will fight Goirgizzzpklej Kraandjkski from Cheapistan next! Like a guy who takes M&S bags to Aldi to get his shopping! Prize wank!Naandrew wrote:Card doesn't happen

I'd rather see him in with Khurtsidze or Murata but those wont happen. Or indeed that lazy bum wont fight at all.

Brant isn't a horrific opponent...I think he's worse than Lee and Eubank, but probably better than Blackwell, Ryder, and the guy BJS defeated for the EBU title.
He was a top US amateur and can punch a bit. He's not the most skillful and did have a close fight last year with an opponent well below BJS's level, but I think he can hurt Saunders and cause him some issues in defeat.

I just watched a bit of Brant on youtube. I'd honestly never heard of him before. My impressions are that he's a cerebral boxer, has good technique and has some power. The only real negative I saw was that he looked rather ponderous to me. His punches looked a bit like they were being thrown in slow motion.

Go on eventim and check the seat plan. They've sold less than half the arena so far. Expect a Tyson pullout before much longer and the whole thing is off.

Just had a look. It shouldn't be a surprise considering the absolutely insane ticket prices, but it is still shocking to see so many empty seats for an event of this size. I will be amazed if the card goes ahead.Black Sam Bellamy wrote:Go on eventim and check the seat plan. They've sold less than half the arena so far. Exactly I looked earlier in the week about 80% of first tier was still on sale.Boxerbeetle wrote:Just had a look. And don't forget these seats will have been on sale for weeks before the first pull out.
If they weren't going to go then they aren't going now.
hearn is going to be taking the p*$$ big time next week when the AJ fight goes on sale.

Wow those ticker prices are insane. £106 for a top tier seat, no wonder the place is barelyselling.

Re: Billy Joe Saunders (c) vs. ??? - October 29th 2016
If the plug get's pulled on this fight, then it's going to damage Tyson's reputation immeasureably, the public won't bother buying tickets for his fights again in significant numbers. The only way anybody could pull out without breaking their contract, would be to declare themselves injured, and that would not go down well.
It's a sad day when a fight for the true heavyweight champion, can't even fill an arena.

I'm expecting another speed bump, or some kind of pull out, be it another injury, or whatever. They have got to look at the ticket sales and ask themselves is it worth it.
If 29th October did not happen, what next? Would Klitchko be awarded the belts back? Would Fury fight ever again?

Re: Billy Joe Saunders (c) vs. ??? - October 29th 2016
I literally could not care any less about this card, BJS or Fury. In a world of "What have you done for me lately?", they have done nothing but moan, whinge, talk utter shite and pull out of fights.

I'd imagine that would be a matter of negotiation, the governing body could declare the belts vacant, or they could give Fury more time.Rob3_142 wrote:I'm expecting another speed bump, or some kind of pull out, be it another injury, or whatever. Let's hope it goes ahead anyway.

I hope it goes ahead too. There's nothing worse than having inactive world titles, let alone two!jamesmcdonnell wrote:I'd imagine that would be a matter of negotiation, the governing body could declare the belts vacant, or they could give Fury more time.Rob3_142 wrote:I'm expecting another speed bump, or some kind of pull out, be it another injury, or whatever. Re: Billy Joe Saunders (c) vs. ??? - October 29th 2016
Absolutely shambolic that a card featuring the heavyweight champion of the world and another featuring a british middleweight title holder is going to fall apart.
The blame falls squarely at the promotion and teams involved. The fans have had their fingers burnt too many and also have the pleasure of being royally shafted with the ticket prices too
