When I first started getting into boxing, there was a great spectrum of boxing scores among the media after fights.
Anyone else remember those days?

These days, too many fights have identical media scores.
Also, many editorials are describing every fight the same way.

Check the HBO commentary. Do they ever disagree anymore?
To never disagree in boxing seems too campy and strange to me.

To hear Roy Jones Jr and Bernard Hopkins make comments which insinuate they would have scored fights against themselves isn't revolting anyone else? Especially when we most of us could remember when Roy NEVER used to speak against his understanding of boxing. It was almost he was like, "shut the fornicate up Jim and Larry, neither one of you know shit". Now, all the boxer commentators are like NFL players. They're just mainstream douche packages.

Not even a Lennox Lewis. Just a bunch of yes men.

Even Kellerman used to be 100% pro-tactical boxing. Now he's begging for action.
If all the announcers are actors, what does it say about the show?

The full list of scores was posted, and of 89 total there were 34 for Canelo and 30 for Lara, with the rest being even. So only 38 percent had Canelo winning, and none had it as wide for him as Levi Martinez did.

Agreed. It wasn't an objective post. The purpose of it though was to dispel the myths that bribery and corruption were responsible for Canelo's victories over Lara and Trout. So I listed those from the media that believed the Mexican deserved those wins.

I could have posted all of the media scorecards... and it would have proven that the majority of the journalists and those involved in the sport believed Canelo won those fights legitimately.

I'm not saying those fights weren't competitive, but to accuse the judges of criminal activity is pure utter nonsense.

GingerHead is open for a lot of criticism these days but (I agree) benefiting from corrupt judging in those particular fights is not accurate.

As I have posted many times, the Trout fight was open scoring. GingerHead knew the fight was won and cruised the final rounds. Lara was a fight that could have gone either way. Neither decision was out of line. There was one card in the FMJ fight that was ridiculous but it did not change the outcome and it was poetic justice.

Canelo's last two fights were PPV?!?!?
We knew he would crush Khan but not completely sure about Brook.

I feel that the Mayweather business model is being duplicated, but there are some issues in doing so.

# 1 the bad guy role. No other fighter could piss fans off like Mayweather. People wanted to see him lose. Neither has "earned" the pass to "pick" opponents. Who is the villain?
# 2 Theater. Neither GGG or Canelo have anything glorious or notorious about them. Who is the villain?
# 3 Promoters. Some much personal crap between promoters limits us the fans from seeing good fights. Mayweather dropped one for the other and boom. Another point is Jerry Jones got involved and brought Canelo vs Brook in. His persuasion and business savvy may have had a bigger impact than we know.
# 4 Language Barrier. Neither of the fighters have good English. Talking smack gets lost in translation. Who is the villain? No disrespect to either fighter's country but its US views that have the most leverage.
