Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
Canelo, you'd think would move above Ward, at elast until Ward fights Kovalev, but seems that ESPN saw that fight as a ppv the public didn't ask for, which is true.
Tim Brad is still no. 10, can think of a few I would replace him with, don't know why he still there. Was awful against Pacman

Frampton and Pac should replace Loma and Ramming Speed. I would shuffle the order a bit.

I'm a huge Lomachenko fan and i think he might be one of the best boxers I'v ever seen. but I think it's kind of weird to have him so high on a p4p list.
Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
Yes..There is 10 people on the ESPN Panel. Each pick a fighter.lazboy wrote:Atlas got his boy on.

Is Manny excluded because of his "retirement"? I think Inoue and Frampton have decent shouts at getting in at 9 and 10.

Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
Possibly. I think someone like Frampton has a better resume though. I'd have Thurman in my top 10 if he got another big win on the back of the Porter fight, against someone like Garcia, Bradley or Spence.Ruthless-RKO wrote:Thurman deserves top 10ElJefe wrote:Is Manny excluded because of his "retirement"? Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
In my mind, Manny Pacquiao, Naoya Inoue, Carl Frampton and Shinsuke Yamanaka are all above the likes of Keith Thurman and Timothy Bradley.
Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
Thurman.......

Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
I'm not sure why GingerHead even desrves to be in the p4p list (although i list him at #5 on my own list above) given he is considered the lineal MW champion yet he is avoiding the entire MW division as well as all the top contenders of the SMW division.
He is quickly becoming nothing more than the buttend of jokes.

Mentioned this before, if your top 10 p4p list doesn't include Thurman and Garcia,
you're a clown, and an HBO sheep.

Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
Garcia's recent opposition has been lackluster, he didnt look great, and I thought he lost to Herrera. His resume is strong overall and he definitely has a case, but he's not clear-cut top 10.

And what of Canelo's recent opposition?crusader wrote:Garcia's recent opposition has been lackluster, he didnt look great, and I thought he lost to Herrera. His resume is strong overall and he definitely has a case, but he's not clear-cut top 10.
Canelo: Smith, Khan, Cotto, Kirkland
Garcia: Guerrero, Malinaggi, Peterson, Salka
Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
Pretty comparable. Drop them both out until they step up.BAD INTENTIONS wrote:And what of Canelo's recent opposition?crusader wrote:Garcia's recent opposition has been lackluster, he didnt look great, and I thought he lost to Herrera. Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
Those are Danny's opponents since Herrera, and in the time succeeding that fight Canelo has beaten Lara and Angulo in addition to Smith, Cotto, Khan, and Kirkland, so it's unfair to only list the latter four. I'd give Canelo the edge in opposition during that period, and I think he won at least as convincingly.
By the way, I'm not a gullible type who buys into the PBC propaganda of Paulie and Guerrero being good opponents; that's for people who can't separate their current form from that of years back. Guerrero had already been beaten down by Thurman, in a punishing war with Kamegai, and of course right before facing Danny he was rendered limp by featherfisted Aron Martinez---that's what we call a shopworn fighter, and his subsequent loss to a cab driver supports that. Paulie was also coming off of 15 months of inactivity and in his fight before was beasted and stopped early by Porter, in a one-sided manner we havent seen in a Porter fight since he moved past clubfighters. Danny fought these guys years after they would've been nice scalps on his record.

Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
Speaking of Garcia, Eddie Hearn is claiming that Garcia's side contacted him about Danny fighting Sam Eggington. Not sure if it's ture, but lmao if it is.
Re: ***ESPN P4P TOP 10 UPDATED***
I think that's a pretty solid top 10 and not far away from where I'd have it.
Think Bradley is perhaps a tad high being in the top ten and You have to have Pacquiao back in, seeing as he never really retired and has a fight scheduled
