Brad Hore was scheduled to fight Jarrett Owen for the Australian super bantamweight title on October 8th in search of his first Australian professional title, but has instead announced his retirement.
Hore is only a month short of his 35th birthday and has been involved in boxing for about 25 years.
He was a decorated amateur who fought at two Commonwealth and two Olympics Games and finishes with a 5-2 pro record.

I reckon he made a pretty good decision.35's old for a Sheila let alone a bloke who's fighting. Didn't wanna see Whore'o start getting bashed around like a Billabong boomerang

Brad Hore knew his fighting career was over 4km into a training run last week when his body decided it'd "had enough”.
He walked home and called his coach, Gareth Williams, and then his parents, who were both supportive of his decision.
"It happened all of a sudden,” Hore said.
"Usually in a training camp it plays on my mind but usually goes away after two weeks when the body starts feeling better. That was just the first time I'd ran and said 'that's enough'.
