Matchroom, Anthony Joshua Extend StubHub Pacts
Matchroom Boxing and the IBF World Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua MBE have both agreed to extend their long-standing partnerships with the world’s largest ticket marketplace, StubHub.
Matchroom Boxing and Anthony Joshua will continue to transparently list face value tickets on StubHub. StubHub will also serve as the Official Ticket Marketplace for all Matchroom Boxing and Anthony Joshua fights. StubHub will continue to have a broad range of branding, digital, social and activation rights, including access to Anthony for promotional video content, building on the success of the No Hype video released in November 2015.
For the first time, Matchroom Fight Pass members will be able to purchase face value tickets directly through StubHub during a pre-sale window ahead of each bout covering Matchroom’s stable of boxers including the undefeated Joshua.

I'm fucken knocked sideways, here. the fucken charity of it all, he's cutting his own throat, you know, fucken Camp Eddie here, fucken robbing food off his kids' table to give away these tickets at their face value and nothing more. what a fucken guy.lefty wrote:.

ps, pudendum.
Re: Matchroom, Anthony Joshua Extend StubHub Pacts
Allegedly what happens anyway is that Hearn sells them in bulk to Stubhub at face value and then Stubhub resell them at a inflated price.

Its clear that they are trying to make the secondary market for tickets the norm, not just in Boxing but in all events. Give it a few years and it will be 100% excepted.
Like you say, the cheeky fornicate##r making out its a privilege to have access to tickets at face. The FightPass is £30 a year just for the privilege of a the chance to buy these face value tickets, but it isn't capped at all so if they have 20 thousand members all paying £30 that 600 grand in revenue from tickets that were going to be sold anyway, FightPass or otherwise. 600 grand on top per year
What happened to just buying a ticket? I have been to loads of events, big demand and no demand and I have never had the problems people face now getting tickets.
You got the pre sale, the priority sale and then the actually sale...... Doesn't sit right with me at all
Re: Matchroom, Anthony Joshua Extend StubHub Pacts
the answer is just dont bother going, watch it on a free stream. i wouldnt pay face value to sit with a bunch of coked up wannabe hardmen looking for a brawl, so certainly wouldnt buy them at rip off prices from nobhub. these big bills are there only for the foolish and the casual

Bit off topic but did anyone see the advert for the new series of league of their own? Potato face Corden asks the Prince of Humbleness what he spends his hard earned on. His Humbleness starts going in to a sweaty bollux story of using his cash to 'create memories' (birthday card pish) and Flintoff points at big Humbles wrist and says 'is that a Rolex'
What a penis
Re: Matchroom, Anthony Joshua Extend StubHub Pacts
Yep - nailed it for me. I don't go to as many shows as I used to, but seeing GGG and enjoying Frampton's win "in the flesh", is a good as sport gets.chrisnew86 wrote:Foolish and casual ??blanca wrote:the answer is just dont bother going, watch it on a free stream. i wouldnt pay face value to sit with a bunch of coked up wannabe hardmen looking for a brawl, so certainly wouldnt buy them at rip off prices from nobhub. these big bills are there only for the foolish and the casual

I looked at tickets for Fury-Wlad and they are ridiculous. I'm not tight but it's easy to see why they aren't shifting. Certain sports in this country are a complete rip off

The more popular he gets and the more shows he does he is gonna come a cropper if somebody says something off the cuff - he's got no patter and hasnt got the brains or personality to develop any.
Ps - also agree with the thread that Camp Edward is a spoilt little Lord fontelroy prick

Bit harsh. He's only trying to squeeze every last penny out of anyone with a passing interest in boxing.handsofstone wrote:Counter-puncher wrote:ps, pudendum.![]()
Now anyway, I'm off to spend my money to get an annual pass to get me a chance to buy a ticket at the stated fee but if not, I'm sure my pass will point me in the direction of somewhere that I pick a ticket up for a price that reflects the true value of the ticket rather than an artificially inflated price created by the release of a limited amount of tickets for a show expected to sell well

stopped going to these big shows after brook v jones 1. bogs full of pricks shovin chum up their hooters, i watched all of the bill, empty arena before and after the brook fight. english nobheads trying to start on the gregorsz proksa fans, all chummed up. then nobhub became involved and i see no reason to pay over the odds even as a hardcore fan. im not giving my money to corps and their affiliates, and to be in close vicinity to billy hardman and his drugged up pals whilst the promoter is too busy counting his money to pay for proper security. take the piss all u like but in reality daddys boy is takin the piss out of youchrisnew86 wrote:Loynesy wrote:Yep - nailed it for me. Re: Matchroom, Anthony Joshua Extend StubHub Pacts
StubHub handling Fight Pass is actually good news. The Matchroom website couldn't handle the traffic and then The Ticket Factory made a complete mess of it too. Thousands of members weren't being recognised, though I have a feeling there may be a bit of skulduggery involved. Fight Pass is way oversubscribed, and the vast majority are ticket touts. If you have 10,000 members entitled to 4 tickets each, yet only 4,000 available to members...
Camp Eddie has already said they need to rethink the Fight Pass. When they did live streams, they'd have a few hundred members watching, put a big show on and there are thousands trying to join.
