Sure. I'd rather see Ortiz get a shot at one of the World Titleholders before he turns 40 though.

I'd like to see Ortiz against any top 5 boxrec heavyweight as fast as possible. Sadly, they avoid him.

Ortiz seems to be in the Stiverne/Haye/Ruiz get out of the fight plan. Parker and Joshua actually fight.

Haye hurts his toe. Ortiz doesn't like his promoter. Ruiz and Stiverne don't even give excuses. They just don't show up.

Seems like Ortiz avoided Ustinov.

Ortiz would do a number on Parker.

It'd be a pretty fine fight, and Parker is pretty much ready for Ortiz after beating Takam. But like... Parker doesn't need to rush into such a risky fight so soon, as young as he is with all of that potential. I would probably try to get him more experience with another Takam-caliber opponent (Stiverne, Chisora, Jennings, Duhaupas) before moving up to Ortiz. Ortiz needs to fight a top 7 opponent like right away before the clock runs out on his career.

Last time Parker fought a southpaw ( a bloody poor one at that) he looked horrendous.

Haha, you're right about that, somehow nearly everyone expected that fight to be dominated by Ortiz right? Nevertheless, you're right. Even Tyson Fury ducked Ustinov once if I remember it correct.

Ortiz getting a chance to KO Parker???? ... That's as likely as Beterbiev getting a shot at Chickenson... Unfortunately that's the way Boxing is.

Ortiz has nobody to blame but himself. His career is slowly fading away. He needs to make himself unavoidable.

Ortiz has Boxing to blame... Boxing is the most corrupt and mismanaged "sport" in the History of the World... Unless you're an American citizen or English speaking you're screwed... I love what the British have done... They've stuck it to the Americans and I hope a few more countries start doing that.

Well with Parker fighting Joshua around the New Year, I think it's fair to say that they've abandoned the slow and steady progress...

Ortiz can't be avoided for long. WBA have the tournament.. But I think he other organisations should have him high in their rankings, anyone got any updates on his rankings? He shoudl fight in the UK instead, one of his best chances to win over fans was to fight on the Canelo/Smith undercard infront of 50,000 plus.. he screwed that up..

Apparently Hearn has been in touch with Ortiz' team, looking at the prospect of getting him fighting in the UK, but apparently the deal with Golden Boy is not completely dead. The problem with Ortiz is he is super dangerous but with zero exposure. Hard to convince people to get in the ring with him when there's a lot to lose, and not much to gain. He's 37, so will be a thing of the past before too long. Shame really.
