Pretty massive step up for Hughie, though it's possible that he's the best fighter AJ will have faced up to this point as well. I'm thinking at some point AJ hits Fury so hard the impact ripples through his body and pops 6 pimples on his back.

Very much doubt this happens. If it does, Joshua would win with ease.

Hughie will end up fighting a black guy who's full time job is polishing shoes.

Ruiz pulled out. Not sure why. I'll be surprised if this card goes ahead. It's already looking like it's coming apart!

I think Hughie would do atleast as well as anyone Joshua has fought. Probably the most impressive record of anyone he's fought anyway.

I think fit Hughie could cause serious problems. Joshua has to be a very heavy favorite though.

Pretty ridiculous. Much like Price. Domestic level opponent for a 'world title' fight.

He needs to stop being referred to as 'heavyweight world champion'
He's a strap holder and fights like these won't ever improve that situation!

A bit cryptic of Peter when asked about Tyson at the end of the ifilm interview, "he's ok, that's all I'm allowed to say on Tyson at the minute. He's ok".

OK, why am I the first to mention that November 24th is a Thursday (Thanksgiving here)?

Is this just a simple typo or is some madness going on?

If Tyson beats Wlad in the rematch that will give him four weeks to build this fight for his cousin. And you know full well he will. it will be an interesting build up.

I have been a fan of Hughie since I saw his debut. I doubt if he's powerful to beat AJ right now but I think he could do well for a while.

Hearn said before it won't be Hughie as the UKAD hearing is in November before the fight.

I wouldn't be shocked if it is David Price but I'm expecting Pulev.

Hughie would probably be the biggest test to AJ, he has decent boxing skills, but I don't think he will be able to stand up to Joshua's power and be able to keep AJ off him.

It would be interesting and would end up building a fury(if he wins v wlad) v AJ fight next summer most likely at some stadium.

Hughie would do ok against the version of AJ last time out. His timing was way out against one of the slowest challengers I've ever seen.

You mean against Breazeale? Granted Breazeale was as slow as hell, but it's not like Joshua was struggling to tag him. In fact he was connecting with genuine ease, and only a solid chin saved him from a knockout in the second.

Hughie better hope he has a better defence than Breazeale, or as good a chin, otherwise this is over quickly.

I picked up on that too. I don't think the fight vs Wlad is happening and I don't know why.

I have ringside tickets, hotels and trains booked so I am gutted.

But Fury is out of shape from being seen in pubs the night before last. Not in training camp and has tweeted nothing about the fight since pulling out of the press conference with a 'broken down car' and 'mobile phone with no battery'.

Something is obviously going on which I am sure will come out in the fullness of time, but it is fans like myself who will be out of pocket come October 29th.

Thoughts?

Joshua will fight Pulev. Can't see anyone else.

Fury-Wlad won't happen this year in Manchester.

The heavyweight scene is a merry-go-round that was full at the beginning and exciting but everyone's got off and has to be one of the worst divisions in boxing this year.

It does not bode well. Peter after the press conference said that camp wasn't going great. Considering how outspoken Fury is usually, there's little or no reason to be encouraged that he's doing the work necessary to win this fight.

I suspect that the fight will not happen, and Fury will relinquish the belts. I feel extremely sorry for you Max, how much has everything set you back?

Isn't the drug hearing due for the first week of November? Sky surely can't take a risk with that

Tony Thompson offered to step in to replace Ruiz but theyve knocked it back apparently.I dont mind that fight for Hughie to be honest I know Thompson is way past it but hes a still a step up from what hes been fighting recently.

Andy Ruiz pulled out over something to do with his management, hes not happy about the money situation but hes pulled out ofhis last 4 or 5 fights now.His trainer was saying his head werent right anf he aint been training properly?
