Ortiz is the WBA's #1 contender, so I guess if Fury is stripped for failing to defend then it should be Wlad v Ortiz for the vacant title.
Ortiz has a fight scheduled against Alexander Ustinov on 19th November but I suppose that could change.

I hope so. I'm already sick of hearing about Wlad and Fury possibly fighting.

Much better fight than watching a rematch of the worst heavyweight title fight in history.

That fight was cancelled weeks ago.

Wlad vs Ortiz or Wlad vs Joshua is fine by me.

Wlad gets crushed by both.

I don't think so. Don't write off Klitschko. There was something fishy with his loss to Fury.

Nothing fishy about it.

He was 40 year old that looked 40.

It was the first time he fought someone bigger, younger & slicker than him; plus, he wasn't able to dictate to Team Fury like he had done to every other single challenger he'd fought prior to that & that unsettled him.

Question is, would Klitschko even keep fighting after missing out on a Fury rematch?

Ortiz would smoke Klit and deep down Wlad knows it. He'll go out of his way to make sure this fight doesn't happen I imagine.

They claimed that Fury is physically unfit to fight? Wow, what a douche. He is about as unprofessional and undisciplined as they come. He might as well retire. Good riddance.

I kind of doubt if they strip Fury just yet, but might by the end of the year if he doesn't defend. I've lost track how long its been and forget what their rules are.

***I just read Peter Fury said Tyson is getting help for whatever problem he has, and will come back to boxing eventually and challenge for the belts against who ever has them at that time. In other words, I am guessing with that statement they will strip him.

He's not physically unfit, he's mentally unfit. I think Peter Fury was more saying they didn't care if T.Fury got stripped not that he would.

Before the Tyson Fury mess is sorted, one of Lucas Browne or Fres Oquendo will have won the currently vacant WBA regular title.

I wouldn't fancy Wlads chances against Ortiz. That said- Ortiz's whiskers haven't really been tested as of yet so i could be getting ahead of myself.
