I'll be VERY surprused if AJ's next opponent was Parker. I know that he's currently the mandatory, but from all the interviews i've watched, they wanted to put that deal un place for Feb next year.

And they wanted Parker on the undercard against David Price.

The other 2 candidates for the shot are Beemane Stuverne & Kubrat Pulev.

My personal choice woyld be Pulev. He's a tough old boy who would give AJ rounds.

In Hearn's ifl interview he claimed that Pulev was offered a fortune and turned it down. Also said Stiverne was offered way more than he's getting for the Povetkin fight and turned it down. I'm very skeptical about this. It's hard to imagine top 10 contenders supposedly turning down the biggest payday out there against a guy that's not fully proven and isn't unbeatable.

Parker is vastly over rated. Don't know what he's done to be talked about so highly. A total plodder.

He beat Carlos Takam which is a much better win than Joshua has.

This is the thing I don't get....people bang on about him being massively overrated, but how many people are rating him that highly? He's generally considered a promising young fighter, and is that unreasonable when he's 24 and took a huge step up to score a fair win over a top 10ish opponent, one who is better than anyone AJ's faced?

Few and far between are those who rate him as some tremendously gifted star or anything along those lines (pretty much every higher profile fighter has some fanatic supporters though). He's also down 30-3 in this poll and should end up a sizable betting underdog....he'd likely be a dog against Fury, Wlad, Wilder, and Ortiz too.

You wanna hear the sad thing?

I would probably get a wee bit excited if The Cannon vs A Force was announced next week.

At least the two of them can punch...

Good fight, hopefully Parker KOs him.

I actually don't mind Joshua much but his nuthugging fans annoy me and make me want to see him get sparked.

Hearns would run a mile from Vladimir.

This is boxing, anything can happen. When Lennox Lewis ran into problems with his planned fight with Kirk Johnson, we ended up getting the Vitali fight. A massive improvement. Obviously more obstacles to get around this time but it could be allowed to happen if all parties agree to it.

I actually think fighting wlad would be a great decision, beating an old wlad easily, would totally take away furys achievement of doing it first and would give AJ everything Hearn wants off him. A super champ ànd leave Fury out in the cold?

I would confidently pick Parker over Fury, Wlad, and Wilder.

woud'nt hold my breath on Parker the kid can bang and comes to win ,, these are the criteria your not supposed to meet , facing AJ , but it sounds good throw out a easy fight Hughie ,, then when asked for good money theres the excuse ,, throw out Parker ,find a excuse and bring in Briggs

That's why I said I'm skeptical. But he may be telling the truth this time. At least with Pulev.

Klitscho wouldn't have the testicles to take on Joshua. He'll wait and see what tasty puddings he can fight for Fury's vacant belts. Cue a 2-round KO over a Lucas Browne type and an "I'm back!" sort of statement.

No chance this happens, they won't off Wlad the kind of money he demands.
