From personal experience if its mental issues its really hard to get motivated if you are depressed or have stress, ESPECIALLY if you need to compete at an elite level

Although p!seed off I wish him all the best - I do think once he got there it may have kicked in that the same buzz could never be repeated

If the reports are true that Fury is suffering mental health issues, this is pretty low, chump.

Heard that it's his mental health, he's not type to pull out and he's had everyone going against him, think he's made it easy for media outlets to slate him but I hope he's ok as when it's all said and done he's an incredible fighter and a good family man

I hope fury is ok and comes through this, sometimes we dont see the man behind the sport, after all is said and done he is a character in the ring and live him or hate he he entertains us all but if his mental health is not good then maybe his boxing career is over? i hope not.

Is anyone surprised its his mental health?

The guy is a classic example of someone suffering violent mood swings.

His singing, his sulking, his vitriolic outbursts, his kindness and generosity (makes a nice sandwich), his choice of shorts, dress sense......

How he has lasted as long as he has is a miracle.

I hope he gets the appropriate treatment and is properly looked after by his friends and family.
Very careful consideration should be given before any potential return to the ring. Forget all that macho "fighting man" crap.

Get well soon champ.

this thread....

boo hoo Tyson Fury. The guy is a waste of space, total ducker who has never had any interest in a rematch with Wlad. I hope Wlad sues his fat ass.

Not suprised to read this.He should get stripped now surely, its best all round.Fury takes a few years off hes young enough to come back if he chooses, the belts become active again.

Suppose hes just wants to spend time with his new kid, enjoy his dough for a bit etc but he shouldnt be holding the belts up and more importantly letting the fans down who will be out of pocket again now if hes not serious about wanting to defend these belts.

Hardly surprising. Makes me laugh that Fury slated Haye for pulling out of fights and he's done exactly the same thing. Strip him of the belts I say.

Is it just a coincidence that ticket sales were absolutely dire ?

Wouldn`t be surprised if Fury never fights again and retires undefeated. Fat Mick must be well gutted, he finally hits the big time and his cash cow disappears.

People can slate Hearn all they want, but he knows how to promote his fighters. The build up to the two rematches for Fury v Wlad have been terrible in my opinion.

Likewise look at Terry Flanagan and the rest of Wazza`s stable. They hardly sell any tickets to their shows, hardly ever fight and have profiles the same size as my balls.
to be fair a promoter is only as good as the interest his fighters generate. Remember what warren did for hatton/Naz etc. He knows what hes doing but doesnt have the crowd pullers anymore.

Not surprised the fight was cancelled. It was nearly 5 million in the hole.

The rematch will be in Germany and the mental health reason is easy to prove with Tysons past and avoids a K2 lawsuit and being stripped.

Good call - ticks all the boxes.

60,000 Germans will turn up anyway and gave a bit of a soft rock clap along

He will never be that light on his feet fencer again.

He will be kicking himself rest of his life for not getting a few championship pay days.

Couldn't hack it at the top, became weird, flaky, fat and out of shape straight after beating Wlad.

Probably see a few embarrassing comebacks later.

Even out of shape I doubt there's anyone outside of the top 10 that could beat him.

I cancelled BN last month and when the guy on the phone started arguing with me, I said that I just did not feel personally that I had value for money lately nor could see anything in the future which would justify the ongoing cost. He started listing the fights they had and included this fight and I said, "It will never happen" and he gave it the "it is in the listing and been announced" and I said that did not matter and he just did not get my point or fear.
