Radio 5 team are full of praise for both boxers. Thought Linares was class and Crolla gave it his all.

Some of the scoring in this thread is bananas.
Watch it again without the Sky commentary. It was a close fight. Right man won but not by much.
Did you watch it without commentary?

thought the same.they did the same when Crawford beat Burns.
Gavin v Bundu was one of the worst I'v seen. Flew threw the split decision scores and just announced the winner, with all Gavin's team stood there with looks as if they had just had a mouthful of horse sh1t.

Linares is a very flashy fighter, so obviously some bozos are going to try to score every round for him.

Maybe you should look at your own scoring mate. I question your cards more after seeing that you gave Brook the first against GGG!

Had a dodgy stream so may well have a different score when I watch it back but I had that 116-113 for Linares. Great effort by Crolla but Linares really pulled away towards the end. I had it even after 9 but then gave the last 3 to Linares. All the talk was of Crolla getting to him late but in the end he just couldn't sustain that work rate. Very good fight and no shame at all losing to someone like Linares. :salut:

I thought the commentary was spot on. It was close and like I said I didn't score because I was enjoying the fight but it was clear to me that Linades was the better fighter in there. And the early low blow crap was very irritating, and I was impressed that Froch and Paulie called it.

Which rounds did you give to Crolla, out of interest?

117-111 Linares for me,wasnt even close,Crolla just couldnt deal with the speed of Jorge who was excellent from the start,so sharp with amazing hand speed and Anthony just couldnt expose some of the flaws he's shown in the past,he did have moments of success but he couldnt sustain it and every time it looked as if the tide was shifting in Crolla's favour,Linares came firing back with blistering combinations and very nearly had Crolla down in the 6th

Brave effort from Crolla to hang in there and see it to the end after being hurt a few times but Linares was a clear winner IMO,i dont know if Crolla has become too reliant on the body because he didnt throw much to the head.either way its back to the drawing board for him and i hope he becomes champ again

A few people scored Linares wide, some had it close or even a draw.
Same as the judges !
Right decision - close, but Linares just looked the better fighter.
Rematch ? Flanagan vs either ?

Why does Eddie think Crolla would win a rematch?
